"comfortable clean cozy and very tidy, with great views across the valley to Whernside, wish we could have stayed longer maybe next time, The kitchen was well maintained and had all you needed, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The dark night was amazing coming from a town we dont see dark like that! Glad we taken our SUV and not the hatchback as we would have struggled on the bumpy roads due to its very low front end."

"Quaysiders resort is an apartment/hotel right by the upper side of Lake Windermere in Ambleside. It is in an absolutely perfect location close to the lake, shops, restaurants. "Room was clean, towels were not changed daily and tea/coffee facilities were not replenished every day, luckily I had taken my own. Staff very friendly, breakfast was good with lots to choose from. Pool area was good main pool was bright but a bit dark and dangerous in areas, the hot tub was not very clean or clear you could not see the steps to get in, needs lighting to see where you are going, health a safety hazard. Nice to have a bar on the poolside, and it stayed open till late. Lots of people in the on-site pub in bathrobes eating and drinking as you had to go through pub to get to the pool. Good in the pub had a good variety to choose from reasonable priced. All in all it was a nice hotel and a pleasant stay, but the pool area definitely needs to a bit brighter to see where you are going."
