"The property is a delightful 19th century cottage. The views are incredible. The property owner goes above and beyond in what she provides. We will be back. "

"Howgills House is a wonderful home from home with great energy and good vibes as soon as you arrive, the location was perfect for our wonderful Yoga and Nutrition Retreat using all rooms of the house and the lounge for Yoga classes, the hot tubs got used daily as well. We had daily walks to the Mill and around the Howgills with a local walk guide and the guests loved their stay so much they want me to organise another one."

"Everything was clean. The modern kitchen offered everything that we needed. The living room was small but cosy with the log burner. The staff satisfied our request with a baby high chair (a travel cot was also possible but we did not need it). The only issue for us was the shower which was not very powerful."

"This is a very well equipped holiday home, with everything you could possibly need. It’s situated in a small, quiet village so would suit people seeking peace and quiet. The situation is very convenient for trips to the Lake District and for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. We loved it."

"We had a lovely six day stay. The downstairs of the cottage was great and the kitchen had everything we needed. A proper shower would have been nice, but we enjoyed the bath. A lovely stay!"

"Lovely clean hotel cannot fault it and reception staff super friendly and accommodating would highly recommend this hotel which is booked for two nights not just one "
"Bar service was slow. Breakfast in the restaurant wasn't great. Everything was pre-cooked, and the fried eggs had obviously been sat there for a long time. In the bistro the breakfasts were freshly cooked and amazing"
