The room was clean, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful while bringing our luggage in from the staircase (as they have an elevator for luggage). We are very grateful for the staff. Overall, the area that we stayed in was quiet in the mornings, which was very nice for the both of us. It was walking distance (around 10-15 mins) from the shopping district in Myeongdong itself, so that was quite a bonus for us as well, along with the Myeongdong Cathedral. Lots of good places to eat too.

The location is amazing, you can access a lot of train and bus stations by walking, and it is also from a walkable distance (if you love to walk) to some main atractions. The room is small but has everything you need. The toilet was a little dirty when we got there but it wasn't a big deal. Staff is very nice and very helpful, especially the cleaning ladies, they will sure make your stay much nicer. Overall a great place to stay, affordable, great location and friendly staff.

This was my first stay in Seoul and I loved it. The manager was kind and generally around during check-in hours if needed. Each floor has trash and recycling areas, used towel bin, and a clean towel cupboard. A shared kitchen is on the 4th floor with just about everything you need for simple food prep including a microwave, cook top, microwave, and water dispenser to refill water bottles. Rooms have room and bathroom slippers, a small desk, closet with a mini-fridge inside, and compact wet bathroom. If you haven’t travel to S Korea or many Asian countries before, the bathroom and towels might be an adjustment. Do some research on how to manage. It’s a little more effort than western bathrooms but practical and truly not a big deal. As others noted, the walls are paper thin between rooms, and during check in guests are asked to keep it down, but you’re at the mercy of the other guests courtesy level. I travel with earplugs and noise cancelling headphones, so it was fine for me. The location was great for restaurants, wandering the area, and for accessing buses and the subway. I could get just about everywhere I wanted to go on one bus without transferring (I prefer buses so I can see more of the city, but the subways are fantastic too). I would absolutely stay here again.

Chloe Hostel

Chloe was in a great location. I enjoyed the staff and were very polite, kind and helpful. The amenities met the expectations. If you need a place to stay and see the sites it’s easy to get to. Subway, taxi and bus are close. Shopping and restaurants galore. If climbing stairs is a problem then not recommended. There is a Dumb waiter if needed that can transport baggage up to the floor you need. Office is on 3rd Floor. The advertisement is accurate for the hotel. Typical for Asian Beds that are sturdy and not the same comfort as beds in USA. So stairs and beds may have drawbacks if you have any disabilities.
