"Can not beat the beauty that surrounds this place! We enjoyed the hot tub with a view :) Great place to stay with lots of blankets and a well-stocked kitchen. Only wish the mattress in the south bedroom was newer/more firm. Glenn was a perfect host. Very glad we stayed here!"

"We loved our stay! Very clean and lovely views. Kids loved walking to the little park, enjoyed the river mouth area and walked the other direction to the sandy beach. Great takeaways from the spot right in kakanui on our second night. Lovely to be able to bring our dog, he was cozy in his crate and loved poking around the yard, which was very secure."

"Water pressure was a real issue. Virtually no pressure in the shower even after faulty pump was replaced. Had to use pots of water to replenish toilet cistern as it remained empty after use. A guide of sorts explaining off grid to those unfamiliar would be a good idea.Apart from the water issues the house lived up to expectations and Long Beach is a most beautiful place. "Very cool crib. I would note the 4th bedroom is downstairs, which is only an issue if you have children. Otherwise it is an amazing, clean crib that is amazingly close to the beach and the pub."
