Coconut Pointe Villa & Beach Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Our stay at Coconut Pointe was enjoyable and relaxing! We enjoyed an ocean-view room. Our access to the balcony made dine-in breakfasts delightful. We loved the food - the menu had a wide selection of Ghanaian and Western classics, with enough choice for all. The staff was friendly and helpful. In particular, Mr. John Agyeman was an excellent host. It seems they were renovating the beach-front gazebo during our stay, which led to a bit of construction noise, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience. We highly recommend this hotel for the first time or return returning travellers."

"Had a wonderful stay overall — definitely a 5-star experience. Just a couple of minor points that may be worth looking into: the air conditioning in our room felt slightly stuffy at times, and the 2 treadmills in the gym were noisy with a lot of friction, particularly around the running belt making it unusable. Otherwise, everything was excellent."

"We had a seaview room and the view was superb. The Aircon and fan kept it lovely and cool.Almost all the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. As we were there over Easter weekend it was very lively and the music by the pool was very loud. When the guests had left on Tuesday it was really peaceful and quiet. The menu is quite varied but often items were not available so we had to change our orders. Also, food and drinks service were very slow. All in all though we loved the location of the hotel, the room and the friendliness of the staff. It is pretty isolated and, unlike most guests, we didn't have a car, but we walked into the village a few times and there are taxis available. "

"This is a new resort that is still under construction. It was quiet and beautiful, and the staff were great. While it is suitable for relaxation and connecting with nature, the resort is highly overpriced, and we did not feel we received value for our money. Having stayed at several resorts and hotels in Ghana, we were disappointed with the deluxe room. Although it was spacious, it lacked modern amenities and did not meet the standard of a deluxe room. There were no power sockets near the bed; the only available socket was under the desk, far from the bed. Some room fittings were already in poor condition, including a broken curtain rod, a damaged bed frame, and a broken bathroom door. Given its current state, the deluxe room should not be priced above $150, even considering the island location and boat transportation. Food was very expensive, with no alternative options due to the island setting, and breakfast offered limited choices. The pool was also under maintenance and unavailable during our stay."
