Superb location, lots of quality shops and restaurants, five minutes from metro. Lovely hotel with helpful staff. Great to see rooms are undergoing refurbishment, may come back next year to check them out 😉 didn’t try breakfast (we don’t normally eat breakfast) out as fairly expensive along with internal coffee shop and so many fantastic places outside if you did want to, but if convenience is your thing it’s perfect, but we did read that it was a great breakfast.

There were renovations happening from 9am-6pm so can get very noisy. I was not able to sleep in or return to the hotel during the day, which is unfortunate as I didn’t get to enjoy the room. The renovated rooms are nice but lobby area is a bit dated. Location is excellent and will stay again after renovation.

This is not your premium 5 star experience but appears to be priced accordingly - value for money, excellent. The hotel lacks technology - a paucity of plugs and USB ports in the rooms - but makes up with quiet rooms, amazing views and super showers. The breakfast is good but disappointing fresh juice was extra. The wifi a shocker - is the Chinese censored version so most sites - BBC news, WhatsApp, Facbook etc - are blocked.

The property is an heritage building, the French Embassy back to 19 Century. Hotel management was good and eveyything had been well maintained. Breakfast was good, with varieties. Staff were freidnly and polite. Location was good, and walkable to subway station. This was my fourth stay and was pleased to be back
