The hotel is very central to get around either via the metro station or walking to the old French Quarters, Yu Gardens or the Bund area. Staff was helpful and a bonus was the free washer and dryer.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and able to communicate in English, which we found very rare during our travels through China. The breakfast was great and the complimentary drinks in the room minibar was great. There was also complimentary refreshments in the reception area and complimentary bottles of water if you are heading out for the day. Our room was quite spacious and appreciated that the toilet was in a separate closed area to the shower. The hotel is also well located within walking distance to Yu Garden and the Old city, which was just spectacular at night. We really enjoyed our stay!

The room was nice and clean. I loved the location of this hotel and found it walkable to almost everything I wanted to do. The staff was very helpful, and they even had cards you could give taxi drivers with the address of the hotel for the language barrier. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We booked a Deluxe Room,1 king bed and found the room dark, one of the light bulbs wasn't working and the maintenance person came to fix it promptly but it didn't make much difference in brightness. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is in an excellent position with a metro line just around the corner, there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The breakfast at the hotel was lovely and had a noodle & egg station,the dining area had plenty of space between tables so it felt quite spacious.The Hotel also changed Australian Dollars into Chinese CNY at a reasonable rate.On the negative side there is no safe in the room but you can ask for a safe to be delivered to your room which to me defeats having your valuables in the safe as any one can walk out with the safe. I would not book this room again but when we returned to Shanghai 6 weeks later we had booked the Executive King Room, though it was more expensive it was much bigger and brighter and I might consider booking that room again.

Great location. The suite was wonderful and clean. The sofa bed was actually really comfortable. Traffic in Shanghai is awful so it is important to be close to metro. The staff were extremely nice. Thank you SSAW.
