Very good location in the heart of Shari. Excellent staff and service. Breakfast buffet is ok, supermarket down the street is fairly well stocked. Easy access to all the sights on the Shiretoko Peninsula. Only negatives are the small room and hard pillows, otherwise a great place to stay.
Location is excellent which is opposite to the JR station. The breakfast was not much choice but just ok.
The in house onsen is very good which looks a real onsen which your skin felt smooth.

This business hotel makes a reasonable base for exploring the Shiretoko National Park, given that options in Utoro are very limited. It is functional and a bit charmless, though facilities are all ok. The interior could do with renovating, as it all looks dark and gloomy. The mattresses were rather hard and the breakfast buffet wasn't up to the standard of other hotels we've stayed in - no fresh fruit, margarine instead of butter, unpleasant coffee (there's a better quality in the machine in reception). Staff were all pleasant enough.
I stayed in a 'comfort twin' room for 4 nights and really liked this hotel. The room was a good size and I had a lovely view of the mountains to the north.
It's probably been a while since this hotel has been refurbished but the public areas were comfortable. There are a number of vending machines, an ice machine and you can get free hot drinks from a machine in the lobby.
The staff were friendly and arranged the forwarding of my luggage with Yamato. Breakfast was a self service buffet with a reasonable selection of hot and cold dishes, including some pastries. It's the first time that I've stayed anywhere that has a machine that dispenses rice.
I travelled by public transport and the hotel is very conveniently located opposite the train station and just round the corner from the bus station. On the corner opposite the hotel is a seicomart (Hokkaido chain of combini like 7Eleven and Lawsons).
I'd very happily stay here again if I return to Shari.
These were inconvenient things in my room of this hotel.
1) One of the three elevators was out of service. There were a lot of guests staying overnight, so the elevator itself was really slow and always packed.
2) My foods and drinks in the refrigerator were not cold at all. I looked closely, I saw that the thermostat had been removed.
3) No power outlets next to the bed.
4) No WiFi, though there was a cord for a computer. 5) No robe.
