"The hotel was really great for the price. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the people were friendly. The view outside was really pretty and the location was great. The breakfast options were limited: waffle, oatmeal or cereal and some apples and yogurt. The vending machine only had 3 or 4 things in it. There also isn’t anyone working the front desk; there is a handwritten sticky note asking you to call someone. Overall, we would definitely stay here again because of the value."

"The home was very clean and appropriately furnished. The falls were a lot further off than the picture hinted at, but still a beautiful view. Check-in was a little difficult because I had to hunt for many things in the cabin, including where the lights and fans were. The host was on vacation but was very nice; I just hated having to keep calling with questions. The beds were not king-size; they were queen, which was disappointing for two adults. However, they were very comfortable. My biggest issue was that there was no broom, dustpan, dish soap, etc for daily cleanup. There were very few normal utensils, such as vegetable peelers, when trying to cook dinner. The can opener barely worked and needed to be replaced. We had to buy simple things like a working can opener, which shouldn't be necessary. When we spilled crumbs, we had to try our best to pick them up with a wet paper towel because there was no broom. One of the toilets stopped up, and there was no plunger, so we had to buy one. For the price, I would have hoped it would be better equipped for someone staying 3 nights."

"The room was nice and bed was comfortable. A/C was very cold. My complaints are minor with the exception of breakfast--pictures show way more than what they have; it's grab and go, NO COFFEE was available. The floors need swept better, there were some fruit gnats in our room and a couple of the towels had brown stains. It was Labor day weekend and the pool was already covered. Otherwise, it was a good stay and price was very good."

"We had such a wonderful stay. The cabin and views were so beautiful! We brought along our 2 dogs and the fenced in area that led to the deck was great. It helped us relax instead of worrying the dogs would wonder off after all the good sniffs! Would definitely recommend staying here."

"Absolutely gorgeous property, perfect for our peaceful birthday getaway! The cabin is cozy but had plenty of room for 2 humans and 2 small dogs. We loved hearing the river from the cabin! Enjoyed the hot tub a few mornings when it was cool enough. Watched the sun rise with our coffee on the screened in patio! We also loved the copper tub!Directions to the cabin were perfectly easy to follow and precisely detailed. Highly recommend 4WD or AWD!We saw tons of wildlife; deer, bunnies, wild turkeys, birds and butterflies, a random cat and an opossum lol The gated area was much appreciated for the puppies! I do wish the riverbank was a little landscaped. It’s very rocky/uneven and there’s not many good places to sit and hang out down there but wow it is stunning! And the water is so refreshing in the hot summer afternoons. This cabin is very remote and surrounded by trees and all sorts of critters but I must commend the pest control as we were there for 7 nights and not a single live bug was found inside! As Floridians, we were flabbergasted. The creepy crawlies stay outdoors! Very thankful for that. So many things to do in the vicinity. Mentone is beautiful and all the people we met were absolutely wonderful! We would love to return in the winter! Thank you for the lovely hospitality. We really adored our time at Fernweh!"
