"A front desk clerk, saw me struggling with my wagon of luggage. Jessica. Came outside and said “ let me help you” Jessica pulled my wagon to my room. It’s not often you see people go out of their way to help. She offered to help load me back up and told me her schedule. The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 was that no one came in to service my room. I understood that if your stay was 4 days it would be serviced. I needed my trash out and fresh towels. I’m sure if I would have asked it would have been taken care of. Overall, great place! Clean, comfortable, and safe. I will go there again next year"

"This hotel was in a great location to easily walk downtown or hop on the freeway to head further out. Our room was clean, had everything we needed, and felt pretty spacious for the two of us. Just a note - our room did face the hotel across the street and if you don't have one of the shades down, you can see in their room and they can see in your room. The mattress wasn't our favorite, but that's a personal preference. Parking was generally readily available in the hotel lot ($25/day self parking) during the week, but it got pretty crowded heading into the weekend. The front desk staff was fantastic, always kind and friendly. We had a couple questions during our stay and each time, with different staff, they were super helpful and went above and beyond to take care of us. We had a week-long stay and had breakfast on-site 3 days of our stay as a quick option before heading out on adventures. It was great! Wonderful service and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. We also tried the rooftop bar for a light dinner one night and were a bit underwhelmed. The views were nice, cocktails were good, but service was slow and we didn't feel the food was worth the price. Perhaps we just caught a bad night, others seem to love it. Overall, we would stay here again if we ever return to Asheville and would recommend it as a great option for others."

"Rented the 3 bedroom suite and on the website it said there was a whirlpool tub in the suite. This was not the case. The pool and hot tub were not open so we couldn't even enjoy those. This was a problem since we had 2 people in our group who medically need them and this was why we chose Lantern Lodge over other places. The kitchen was nice but we had to buy a large pan and baking sheets to cook our meals. The kitchen was very limited on cooking utensils and cookware. For a 3 bedroom suite we had 2 very small frying pans which just doesn't work when cooking for 6 people. We asked at the front desk for more cookware and they could not help us."
