"We had a very relaxing family holiday here. There were hardly any other guests when we stayed, and it was almost like having a private resort.The restaurant staff made us two lovely dinners and breakfasts, the first dinner was an intricate kaiseki spread, and the second was delicious grilled steak. "Property itself has has an amazing garden with access to river and some great mossed areas. Also situated on the gateway to the heritage areas. Huge room with intriguing heating, steam-punk stuff. Views from room of mountain ranges absolutely intriguing. Furniture bit worn but otherwise clean. Hotel building fascinating to explore. Staff very helpful and courteous."
