"A gorgeous property which runs as a spa / micro hotel 10 months of the year, but can be rented out entirely for July and August. It was not clear to us from the VRBO listing that we were expected to have them cook all meals for us - I had thought we would choose if there were certain meals we would want and others we could do ourselves. "The villa is beautiful, well equipped and spacious, with some lovely traditional design and decor features. After visits to nearby sites around Ourika, the villa pool offered a welcoming cool down from the heat. The kids enjoyed splashing around in the pool, while the adults were able to fully relax in our home away from home. "The villa was lovely, very clean and had that Moroccan feel. We asked for a housekeeper for our stay which was great, local dishes, breakfast lunch and dinner made the stay extra special. A beautiful pool but in December was very cold which was to be expected. Host’s very responsive to any questions or requests. Overall a great Villa, you will need a car to make the most of the Moroccan experience."

"It said it was in the city centre which was 31 kilometres away ,housekeeping never happened washed own bedding and towels by hand as washing machine was a rust bucket.it was dusty and unkempt on arrival but me being me went back to basics and got on with wouldn't recommend it for westernised people "

"We had the most amazing stay at villa Hana. The staff and owner were all amazing. Also, Sofia the coordinator was fantastic with communication. The owner Wafa met us on check in. She made us feel very welcome. The villa is huge, the garden is a dream. The cook prepared an amazing meal for us. I would definitely stay here again."

"We loved this little home... simple and private...the scent of orange blossom...the full moon on the rooftop at night...Mohammed and his care, bees, sweet honey and smiles...the surrounding nature full of winding pathways, waving barley and poppy fields, of olive tree orchards, splashing mountain streams, and terracotta Berber villages. "A lovely hotel, well maintained with lots of history and some stunning decor. Nadia and her husband (Geward?), are brilliant hosts and, together with the other staff, make it a relaxing, fun and most enjoyable place to stay. Clean hotel, with lovely gardens, with loads of secret/secluded places to have lunch or just retreat from the sun for a bit and the food is amazing. We will definitely be coming back, even if it is just for a long weekend. Me and my partner wanted a weeks break away, where we could relax and destress, and we got that and more at this hotel. We had a jacuzzi bath in our room, which was wonderful, but note that there is no steam room, gym or full service spa (Expedia - please update your information) - although you can go for a run in the area around the hotel and Nadia will be very happy to organise and book treatments at her favourite spa, which the Hammam and zen massage she arranged for us was amazing!"

"I nearly cancelled my stay here, with my 10 year old, when I read the recent reviews leading up to our stay. But my son loves swimming and water parks, so I thought we’d give it a go and not expect too much; we were only staying for 3 nights. It far exceeded my expectations and we had a great time here. The hotel and waterpark is tired, in places, and it’s not luxury, but the lovely staff and my son’s smiles made up for that. The all inclusive food was nice. I can imagine it might get repetitive after a week, but there are so many options. It was busy at peak meal times, but we were there in high season so can’t expect a peaceful dinner. The staff work incredibly hard to keep fresh food coming out and tables cleared and cleaned. We were allowed to stay after we checked out, until 6pm as my son was enjoying it so much. We would definitely go back, for another short stay, if we go to Marrakesh again. "

"Wow, what an absolutely fabulous place! It’s exactly what we hoped for - peace and tranquility. The staff are superb and cannot do enough for you. The most instagram worthy place I have ever been to! Of note for those planning a trip, we stayed in the ‘low season’ (I.e. July/August). The hotel was only 20-30% full which made the stay feel even more intimate. We guess people are put off by the temperatures in Marrakesh, however it’s at least 5-10 degrees cooler in the mountains. Our stay was hot but definitely tolerable! "
