Budget hotel
Positives: decent breakfast, lovely staff, only a couple dollars to main area, nice quiet area, can get laundry done on site. Negatives: mattress was grey lumpy and stained, blood on duvet, window/door looked out onto an alley of dirt and bricks, plug in shower was blocked.

Lovely hotel with excellent staff
We were transferred to this hotel after we arrived to discover our original hotel had closed due to the owner's illness - and we were so glad we were. First of all, a word about the Expedia transfers team, who sorted out our problem quickly, efficiently and with great professionalism. The hotel itself was very comfortable and the small swimming pool was a definite bonus in the hot weather. The availability of tuk-tuks to take us to the Angkor Wat temple complex at very reasonable rates was a big plus. And the hotel even has a free shuttle tuk-tuk to take you downtown whenever you want. Even the meals - both Western and Khmer - are reasonably priced and very tasty. The staff- who all seem incredibly young - were exceptionally attentive and couldn't have done more for us. All in all, an ideal place to stay in Siem Reap.

Not as promised.
Hotel advertised here as free airport transfers, despite a message a day before confirming my airport arrival they didn't arrange transport. Then arranging at the end to get free transport back, they told me it was one way only....really had to argue to get what was advertised. Location was poor compared to many others. They did have free ride one way to market, but seemed out of way for tour pick ups and such. Much better locations. Breakfast choice was mediocre and disappointing compared to other stays. WiFi was scattered. Room linens were clean, but overall grungy tub and bathroom and in need of a good scrub. Pool was tiny and outdoor area.....pictures looked nice but it really only had like a couple of seats outdoors. Find somewhere else to stay.

I am living in Tokyo, the nr. 1 place in the world for services. That's why I am a bit spoiled. I found the staff at BOUTIQUE CAMBO to be excellent. Extremely friendly, speak good English and with any kind of information you may need.

Cambo Boutique Review
We had a family room on the top floor. It was very comfortable for 4 people. They provided 1 bottle of water per person per day. Plan to purchase more water. The location was 25 minutes away to downtown if you walk. The hotel provided a one way tuk tuk ride into town except for holidays. The cost of tuk tuk each way is $2 or $3 US. The breakfast was off the menu but limited. Staff were nice. Overall I rate this hotel 3.5 out of 5 because of value for money.

Great option outside of town
We stayed at Boutique for 3 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotels is located outside of town but they offer free Tuk Tuk into town every day from 7 am. They helped us book our trip to Angkor as well as our bus to Bangkok. The pool is small but comfortable, we enjoyed an in room massage as well as good food and reasonable prices in the restaurant. Breakfast was five star with both Asian style and western style options to chose from. I would highly recommend.

A really good stay!
Hotel service is really good, the hotel assigned us a really friendly tuk-tuk driver to go to Angkor Wat and around city. Food at the hotel was great, and there is free tuktuk from the airport to the hotel, and from the hotel to the city (check the hours). Great Stay!

Hotel is just a little out of the main centre bustle - a good thing! Hotel provides free tuk-tuk service to town; own way back - a nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived on an early plane and were given our room 20 minutes (without hesitation) after arrival - after cleaning. Breakfast is satisfying. Hotel is correctly rated at 3 star i.e. not luxury BUT clean and very suitable for short stay when you're 'on the road' or soaking up the evening offerings in central market / restaurant area. We found hotel to be great value for money.

OK stay in Seim Reap
Angkor Wat is a must see and the Tuk Tuk driver who was at the hotel was very good. The swimming pool is small but ok and the sun beds surprisingly nice. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast is not special. Local area is ok in places.

Had to check out early - very poor.
It was a dreadful experience. The initial room we were given was dirty beyond belief - walls filthy, damp patches on ceiling and down wall. The second room had a swarm of ants, part of ceiling needed replacing, only one bedside table, bathroom that didn't smell clean, dirty towels. Breakfast was awful - lukewarm coffee, toaster full of crumbs, breakfast very poor offers and only allowed one item that came out cold. Pool was not clean and many tiles broken then they shut it to clean without prior warning. Pool chairs had not been cleaned and were sticky. The entrance to the hotel was a dirt track with pot holes, puddles and offered no privacy for the pool area. The so called tuk-tuk service was poor - often had to wait as there were none available. The manager 'tried' to be accommodating by changing the room, spraying the ants, bringing in a plasma screen and another bedside table, offering to microwave my coffee! and offering to help us book somewhere else - but no refund offered for the night we did not stay, or to pay for the next hotel for the night we did not stay! The managers way of trying to accommodate us is not an acceptable way of dealing with the situation. The hotel needs updating, staff need to be trained and customer service needs to be improved.

Friendly Staff and Clean Hotel
Friendly staff answered all my questions and requests with professionalism. Regrettably had no chance to use the pool since I forgot my bathing suit, but I'm sure it would have enhanced the experience even more. Although not in a central area, there are free tuk tuk ride to the night markets, and cost $2 USD to get back to the hotel, so overall still quite convenient to get around the city. Hotel also offers tuk tuk drivers for tours in Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. If you're waking up early in the morning for the sunrise at Angkor Wat, you can request staff the day before to pack breakfast beforehand so you can eat some food after the sunrise. Good selection of options for the complimentary dine-in breakfast. Room itself is quite clean, comes with cabled TV and A/C. Overall a pleasant stay at the hotel, and would definitely recommend to others.

Cosy little hotel.
Stayed at the Cambo on a recent golf trip .On approach the streetscape is unappealing , but once inside it's a different story . Nice clean little hotel , well trained staff who speak reasonable English .Breakfast was good ,but not great .Handy little pool after a day of golf followed by a quiet drink at the bar .Aircon. in the bedroom struggled a bit , was OK .All round a nice cheap base for touring ,golfing or whatever.

Stayed for a week, room only cleaned twice, choice for breakfast was never available, in room wifi never worked and there was constructio next door that started at 7.00 am EVERY morning.

Nice little hotel, good to visit Angkor
The Hotel is ok. Very good for the price We pay. The hotel is a little bit out of the Centre which is good to avoid the noise of the SR night life; however, they offer free tuk tuk into the Centre at any time as many times a day you need. Then you need to pay for your way back (2 dollars each time). We really welcomed the existence of the swimming pool, although is nothing near to an Olympic pool it was heave during the heat hours

Nice hotel,
Overall , the hotel is nice , the staffs are polite and sweet. Only one thing we were not satisfied is , we could not get King size bed as we are couple, anyway it was new year week, the hotel was fully booked , no complaints about that .

Great value and amazing service
The hotel is a little far to walk to pub street but don't let this discourage you from booking. The hotel is amazing, the service super friendly and hey have free tuk tuk service to pub street every day until 8pm. The staff goes out of their way to help you. We had an issue with the return flight as it got cancelled and the staff helped us a lot in trying to call the airline. They even gave us a local cell phone to make a local call (otherwise we would have had to call with our European number and be charged roaming fees)! Would definitely recommend it!

hotels.com mislead consumers.
Hotels.com mislead the consumer on Boutique Cambo Hotel's location. It is VERY FAR, not walking distance from night market, not 1600 yards as it claimed. It's a dirty neighborhood. For this reason I have lost trust in Hotels.com, used to be my trusted site, not anymore.

It was ok.
The awesome thing about this place is that the staff is really nice and friendly and go out of their way to help you. The hotel itself is just ok because wifi is spotty and not that great. Also, the AC isn't that cold at all, it's barely there. There were mosquitoes in my room and I've gotten bites and they are all around the restaurant and swimming pool area too. The first day or two I found several flies in the bathroom.
