You get out if your transport and you go through an opening into Paradis! To me it is unique, the amazing large pool surrounded by beautiful well cared for tropical trees and bougainvillea. The rooms on all four sides of the pool area look lovely with either a pretty terrace or very large balcony and all large with a large bathroom and separate shower. At night the whole gardens and rooms are magic. Gentle sounds of frogs in the small pools , all stunningly light up with orange hues. Easy walking to all that Siem Reap offers, from shops, bars restaurants and more. Tuk tuks are just outside and you can rely on the staff to help hire one. Hire a car for the day to visit Angkor wat, I had a super knowledgeable driver called So Pheap who originated from Angkor area. He was really helpful and painted a super true picture of Angkor. The young team at La niche are so helpful, nothing is to difficult, they maintain the gardens and do the rooms to an extremely high standard. Restaurant is also excellent and a good variety of authentic Khmer cooking as well as western tastes. Large variety of dishes ranging from eggs bacon pastries to Asian dishes. A must to visit, I am going back early next year.

Lovely boutique hotel away from crowds.
Lovely small boutique hotel walking distance to markets and Pub street shopping and restaurants. Spacious clean comfortable room overlooking refreshing pool! Beautiful tropical gardens surround courtyard with pool and restaurant. Wonderful buffet breakfast daily. Great warm friendly staff and nice restaurant on site. Massage also available. Enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return. Quiet and away from all the large tour groups.

Nice charming boutique hotel in city center
Driver from the hotel will pick you up at the airport if you request this in advance. He will meet you with a sign bord with your name on it. Note that the ride is with a tuktuk so if you have a lot of luggage or are with a large party then you may want to opt for a taxi instead. You can call the hotel via WhatsApp or skype from the airport or next door café with wifi. Get contact info in advance. The hotel rooms are all located around central pool. Rooms are quiet and separated from street by lobby and restaurant. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast is buffet style and has station for egg preparation. During day drinks can be ordered from restaurant and will be served by the pool. Our room had both a large bath tub and a separate shower. The room was not overly large and was limited in storage space, but there was a safe to store valuables. The TV was smaller size with a few English spoken channels. You can ask for breakfast to go meal box if you leave early for visit in temples. My wife had a massage at the hotel spa and was quite happy with it. The price is much lower than in the US. There was a local AC unit in the room with remote control. Key card needs to be in slot near door to have power in the room and to have the AC back on. We were quite happy with our stay in this hotel with tropical feeling. The location was very convenient and within walking distance of many restaurants.

They forgot us at breakfast for a packed box, with a days notice! No management to help out on Sunday, left in the hands off young men that could not communicate in English.

Disappointing Hotel - Do not stay here!
Despite some good reviews I read I found this hotel had many problems. I have stayed at over 60 hotels in the last 5 years and I found this hotel to be near the bottom in quality. The beds were rock hard and the staff moved me to another room that had a slightly better bed but it was still like lying on the floor. The room was infested with mosquitoes and the solution was I was given a can of bug spray by the staff. The shower backed up when in use and started to flood. The staff told me it could not be fixed. The floors were very dirty and there were mounds of dust on the tops of the cabinets that was starting to fall onto the floor. The hotel is outdated and in need of many updates. Overall, I can not recommend this hotel and would advise travelers to seek another option.

Jungle paradise.
Beautiful jungle garden type setting with an easy and safe 10 minute walk to main tourist dining, drinking and shopping area. Courteous and attentive staff and a very good free breakfast.

Recommended for cosy & affordable stay
Its location is not too far from Old market or Pub street as described. Tuk tuk is available all day. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. Food wise in the cafe may not be as good as those served in the town. Overall the room is clean, comfortable and pool is cosy to hang out all day long. Please note that there are a lot of mosquitos so do keep doors and windows closed in the evening. I also saw a rat by the pool side so keep your cocktails or drinks on the table, away from the rodents.

Didn't actually stay there.....
We were booked to stay here three days but were contacted the day before arrival when we were in Vietnam to tell us that they had to change our booking due to a large group rescheduling their booking. They made arrangements for us to stay at another property (which I think they own as well?), Le Jardin D'Angkor, for 2 of the three nights. We were not keen on moving hotels during our stay, even though the new one was quite far away from downtown, we asked and they extended our stay to all three days with no cost difference etc. The manager we emailed with was very easy to work with and we enjoyed our experience even though we were out of town more than desired (they did offer a free tuk-tuk to go into town each night).

Beautiful hotel in great location
This was a peaceful and beautiful haven just a 10 minute walk from the city centre. The staff at the hotel were exceptional, organising my collection and return to the airport and my personal tour of Angkor Wat and the room was beautiful and well kept overlooking a stunning garden pool. When I return to Siem Reap, I'll be staying at this hotel.

The hotel was in a good location within walking distance of pub street. Very nice swimming pool area. When I booked, it was advertised as including breakfast but the breakfast cost $5 extra. I booked a few months ahead so I probably got the off season rates even though I stayed peak season so it was still a good deal. I would stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel pool and rooms are great unfortunately we had a room with an adjoining door which we could hear the guests in the next room talking which was a bit of a shock having been up at 4.30 to see the sunrise and then gone to bed early to be woken up at 10. 30 with voices which sounded like they were in the room with you was not good.we discussed this with the hotel manager next morning and it did take considerable insistence before they changed our room .we then completed our stay happily

Great service, quiet little hotel
La Niche was a wonderful place for us, allowing us to easily book a tuktuk or a car to go to any of the temples we wanted and to easily book Phare circus tickets as well. It is only a ten minute walk into the hustle and bustle of the tourist section of the city, so walking across the river for dinner was no problem. Close enough to eat and explore easily, yet far enough away to be quiet and secluded. The pool was lovely and clean, the breakfast was fantastic, with eggs and pancakes to order in addition to a buffet, and the rooms were large and air-conditioned with beautiful bathrooms (Our party of four stayed in adjoining rooms). The room did feel a little cold at times, but the air-conditioning is adjustable and it is certainly a nice reprieve from the heat and humidity of the day. The staff were also very helpful, and they patiently fielded my many questions about the area and transportation. All photos on the hotel's website are accurate and up to date as well

About 5 mins easy walk into town or take a tuk for a buck. Super friendly staff, nice clean rooms, restaurant is ok for quick feed. Loved Siem reip and loved relaxing at this hotel, if anything, probably spent too much time there. I'll be back for sure.

This is the second time we have stayed here. Its as near perfect as you can get. Extremely quite, yet walking distance to PUB Street (where everything happens. Very very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfasts.

Good location with a conveniently located ATM (which dispenses both USD and riel) outside the hotel. Clean rooms and nice swimming pool. Staff were very helpful in arranging cars and tuk-tuks for transportation both around Siem Reap and for tours (to Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom etc). However one drawback is that the price of some of the tours to the further away places (Banti Srei, Kulen Mountain and Beng Melea) were on the high side (around 30% more expensive than the price quoted to us direct from a driver).

Great service. Immediately upgraded to a large pool side room when there was a problem with our assigned room. Pool was wonderful, this is an oasis which was a delight to come back to. Hotel breakfast buffet was very good, but dinner was a disappointment.

Stayed here with our family for three days, two nights. Tremendously pleased with everything. Super-friendly staff, from managers to front desk to tuk-tuk drivers. Stayed in a family room: two interconnected rooms, one with a King-sized bed, one with two large twins. Hotel is designed with a gorgeous layout with lots of greenery. Very peaceful and atmospheric. Hotel arranged a shuttle van for us to and from the airport. They also arranged the driver and tour guide for a day trip to Angkor Wat. The pool is amazing. Restaurant was quite good. Great breakfast.

My wife and I stayed four nights in Feb. 2015 and loved it. Big surprise at the great quality for the price. We had visited Siem Reap four years ago. The location of La Niche was much better than our hotel last time. Centrally located but quiet area. An 8-10 minute walk to the river, central market and Pub Street area (as a pedestrian you've got to brave the traffic and that's not easy). The swimming pool and adjoining area super with blooming bougainvillea (?) and tropical foliage. Outstanding breakfast buffet with papaya, mango, pineapple, etc. a volonte. Eggs cooked to your liking. Pain au chocolat, croissants, Cambodian dishes.... Clean, relatively spacious rooms for Cambodia. Excellent service, helpful friendly staff. front desk provided tuk-tuk drivers for $15 per day to go to the temples. We asked for and got free minibus pickup at the airport.

We were lucky enough to have a first floor room overlooking the lovely pool. The buffet breakfast was excellent and while we rarely dine in hotel restaurants we made an exception here and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The hotel is great value for the price. The location is very good only a few minutes walk from the main shops, bars and restaurants . The only minor point is the building is rectangler with the pool in the middle so it's a case of being on the right side of the pool for sun and the buildings obscure the sun am to pm. Overall great value, good friendly staff and location excellent.

Great little hotel away from the hustle and bustle but within easy walking distance to main part of Siem Reap. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and quite spacious and the pool is large for the size of the hotel. Good value for money. Would stay there again if ever we return to Siem Reap.

Quiet location with great service.
We were met at the airport and taken to the hotel by a very nice mini bus driver. On arrival we were met by smiling helpful staff who provided us with welcome refreshing cold drink as it was very hot it cooled us down.we were then shown to our room which was clean and comfortable.breakfast was substantial with plenty to choose from and set us up for the Temple tours and after a long day walking in high humidity the swimming pool was a welcomed sight The staff were very helpful and attentive throughout our stat. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Quality service, good pool, very handy access to tuk tuk transportation and the hotel was close to all the town action but far enough away that it wasn't crazy all night with the kids. Only issues I had was the cleanliness appearance of the tile floor in the room, looked old and dirty, and it was. But look at where you are, all around is dirt! I'll live with that!

We had a great stay at La Niche. The staff were very helpful, even helped breaking down a large US dollar notes to smaller denominations. There was no safe in the room but they did provide a lock box. It's around a 15 minute walk to,he main market and restaurant area, the food in the hotel restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. The pool area is a welcome oasis after a day of Temples dusty roads and heat. We would defiantly stay again.

Very satisfied with La Niche. Room was nice and very clean upon arrival. Room was cleaned daily (not to be taken for granted). Free wifi worked well and the free breakfast was good. Hotel staff were nice and professional. Hotel has their own Tuk Tuk drivers waiting outside the hotel and will take you anywhere downtown for $1, if that's not your style, walking to the downtown area is doable. Small but very nice pool surrounded by umbrellas and lounge chairs. Small fish pools all over the grounds. Bathroom was also great, very clean and well-kept. Had a bath/shower tub and a shower.

Boutique Siem Reap Hotel
Quaint boutique hotel in Wat Bo area, with typically friendly and accommodating Cambodian staff. The pool area is very nice and a pool is absolutely essentially after a day of climbing of temples. We would happily stay there again.

Great Hotel, Great Location
We really enjoyed our time at La Niche. We originally booked for 3 nights but quickly changed it to 5. The hotel was nice with a large pool, walking distance to Pub Street and the Night Market (about 7 minutes) and absolutely quiet at night! Staff were great, the menu food was fantastic and breakfast was pretty good. Could have been just when we were there, but they dump WAY too much chlorine in the pool. The internet is limited to about 70kbps which is unfortunate but it is more than sufficient for emails and VoIP calling. Tuk Tuk's are always waiting just outside of the hotel (of course), or, just two blocks away is the river which is great for running or walking alone. There is also a Swensen's Icecream Parlor on the other side of the river from the hotel which is a nice treat after a long day in the sun.

La Niche offers a serene sanctuary after a tiring day of touring the temples. My friends and I were superbly pleased with the hotel amenities and quality of service we got for the price we payed. Breakfast servings are generous and they can even pack food for you should you want to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat. :)

Fantastic find for such a low rate. The swimming pool is great and SO welcome after visiting temples all day. The rooms are fairly basic with some nice touches & big bathrooms. Mosquitos are in abundance but the hotel provided coils & oil to deter them. I wouldn't have given up all the greenery for a few Mosquitos. There was a real sense of privacy because of all of the plants. Overall very very happy with la niche. Great location, great price, great pool and good accommodation.
