"It's a classic case of "you get what you pay for". The photos online make the place look a bit fancier than it really is. That said, considering it's a budget hotel, the rooms are surprisingly big. They could do with a bit of a makeover, but it's not a big deal.
The rooftop bar is gorgeous! It's a great spot to chill out and take in the view.

"The hotel is super nice with great new staff, limited food in the hotel and activities, should consider another social bar or club area as the hotel is very big, maybe even a night club. No hot tub, no 24 hour activity kinda makes no sense as staff stay overnight anyway. "
"Of the hundreds of hotels that I’ve stayed at in Asia over the past 20 years this is one of the very best! And I so wish I could stay at the Chatrium again in the future, because pretty much everything was perfect. The only problem is some highly inappropriate material displayed in the main reception area, and so in good conscience I cannot ever stay at this fine hotel in the future. Thanks so much for all the great memories from previous stays. Your accommodations and staff have been spectacular "
"The area was nice as it was off in it's own corner away from the busy downtown streets, was no issue getting a Grab to go anywhere as well. Staff was always nice and inviting and there was a piano they allowed you to play in the bar area. The bar/club downstairs was interesting but the music they played was extremely loud so we had to sit far in the back away to hear/talk to people."
