Excellent location

The host was welcoming and helpful, and the view from the room was amazing. The location is right in the middle of the town so excellent for exploring.

Avoid if you can

The rooms were very difficult to find (took over 2.5 hours to find) - the pin on the map is in the wrong part of Skiathos town; the Skiathos tourist office could not help locate the rooms; locals identified a possible location from the website photos, but these photos were not from any of the rooms - beware there are no sea views; even the Hotels.com helpdesk provided a wrong pin when we reached out to them for help; NOTE there is no way to contact the owner (neither by phone nor by e-mail). When we eventually arrived at Nostalgia (a few locals beat the jungle drums and the owner came to meet us) we found the room had the bare minimum amenities. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, sheets and towels were provided, and the air conditioning worked really well.

This place is good for sleeping not staying.

The area has a lot of restaurants. One room has a non working aircon. We have to open the door to let the cool air in. Bathroom is too cramped. No shower holder. The staff is really good. He picked us from the old port. He ordered taxi for us at 8:30 am.

Cure little flat! Close to the port and walking distance to almost everything in Skiathos town. Was a bit surprised to see the shower is an open shower in the bathroom, but it had hot water and good pressure!

We booked with this property and were a little hesitant given some of the negative reviews. Prior to our arrival, we were asked by the property to reach out to arrange check-in. I reached out several times through the Expedia app but received no response. There is no other way to contact them so I searched online and although I didn’t find a contact number, I found other very negative reviews. People being talked to a different hotel or the room being completely a mess. At this point, I decided to reach out to Expedia with hopes of cancelling the reservation. They also did not hear back. So at risk of potentially ruining our vacation, we booked with another hotel. The lack of communication is disconcerting and unprofessional.

La nostra esperienza in questo “alloggio” è stata terribile. In due famiglie siamo finiti qui per emergenza la notte di Ferragosto: erano le uniche stanze disponibili vicino al porto. A noi è toccata una camera in uno stabile a circa 1 km dal Nostalgia Hotel: per raggiungerla abbiamo dovuto percorrere 500 metri in salita, con scale ripide, e poi affrontare una rampa interna strettissima, impossibile da gestire con i bagagli. La stanza era indecente: letti vecchi e materassi neri, scaldabagno con fili elettrici scoperti, fornetti arrugginiti, lavandino rovinato e un bagno putrido che puzzava di fogna. L’altra famiglia, nell’edificio principale dell’hotel, si è trovata in condizioni se possibile ancora peggiori. Alla fine abbiamo usato le stanze solo come deposito bagagli, restando gran parte della notte in strada, dopo aver pagato in anticipo e a caro prezzo (110 € la tripla, 150 € la quadrupla). Le nostre lamentele con il proprietario, un signore anziano che non comprendeva bene, sono state inutili. La vera responsabilità però è di Expedia, che propone strutture del genere come se fossero affidabili. Una piattaforma di prenotazione dovrebbe garantire standard minimi di sicurezza e igiene, invece permette la vendita di alloggi fatiscenti e ingannevoli, lasciando i clienti senza tutela. Per questo il mio giudizio negativo non è solo verso la struttura, ma soprattutto verso Expedia, che si dimostra del tutto inaffidabile.

La peggiore esperienza in tanti anni di viaggi

Prenoto questo b&b perché il più economico tra tutti per il periodo, ma Il prezzo risulta altissimo per quello che è: Il posto indicato e quello effettivo non coincidono, la mia camera aveva vista sul mare, questa è su una via, il bagno non ha finestra né sfiatatoio dunque il cattivo odore si riversa in camera, la doccia non è chiusa dunque allaghi un bagno per lavarti, struttura, mobili e sanitari stravecchi, asciugacapelli così rotto e vecchio che se lo usavo ci rimanevo secca, non una bottiglia d'acqua di cortesia né bagnoschiuma e shampoo, ma giusto una saponetta di chissà dove, e ho dato una spazzata appena arrivata perché la pulizia lascia un po' a desiderare; l'host già dai primi contatti risponde in greco, invece che inglese, e dandomi pure indicazioni errate...non mi ha aiutato con la valigia quando è venuto a prendermi, ed è stato ironico quando gli chiedevo delle info sull'isola. Per l'asciugacapelli mi aveva detto che sarebbe arrivato in 5 minuti, e invece è arrivato dopo 30. È entrato in una stanza prenotata e occupata da altri ospiti per cercare un asciugacapelli da sostituire, dopodiché è sceso a prenderne un altro, dunque ho perso più di 1 ora per una cosa che avrebbe dovuto controllare prima, visto che glielo avevo chiesto prima dell' arrivo, e in più, non contento, ci ha pure provato invitandomi a cena o vedendoci nei giorni seguenti. Appena ha sentito che ero siciliana ha detto che ero mafiosa, pensando di essere simpatico. Non merita un posto come il suo.

Nous avons réservé notre chambre d’hôtel via expédia. L’hôtel n’ayant pas de réception il faut prendre contact avec l’hôte sauf que sur le site il n’y a pas de numéro de téléphone ou d’adresse mail pour pouvoir communiquer avec lui. J’ai été obligé d’appeler plusieurs fois expédia pour régler le problème! Nous avons réussi à se donner rdv avec le propriétaire après beaucoup de temps perdu au téléphone et du stress! Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel!

I messaggi inviati per segnalare che eravamo in viaggio e che stavamo arrivando sono rimasti senza risposta, l'indirizzo dell'alloggio era sbagliato e il numero di telefono di contatto altrettanto. Quando dopo varie peregrinazioni e richieste di informazioni per strada siamo finalmente riusciti a trovare il posto, non era presente nessuno se non una locale vecchietta con in mano un foglietto con un numero di telefono da chiamare, sembrava "Oggi le comiche". Dopo 15 minuti è arrivato il proprietario. Avevamo prenotato una stanza per 4 adulti, nella nostra (ultimo piano) c'erano 3 letti più un lettino ripiegato, che abbiamo potuto aprire solo prima di andare a letto, altrimenti non avremmo potuto muoverci. Uniche 2 note positive: 1) è a pochi metri dal porto 2) la terrazza dalla quale la sera si vedeva il paese illuminato. Per il resto: un disastro su tutti i fronti, cercate altro.

Posizione comodissima davanti al porto, ristoranti e locali della città. Questo comporta anche che la notte non è per nulla silenziosa visti i numerosi locali vicini. La stanza è gradevole ma il bagno davvero molto piccolo e con la doccia inesistente. La pulizia della camera non viene fatta quotidianamente. Padrone molto gentile.

È d'obbligo dire che ogni qualvolta ho chiamato il padrone della struttura Nikolaos è arrivato molto velocemente, sempre col sorriso sulla bocca, mai maleducato e/o scocciato e anche allegro nello stemperare le situazioni critiche che mi sono trovato ad affrontare. Un primo problema è stato lo sciacquone del water che per il primo giorno perdeva continuamente acqua ed è stato riparato il secondo giorno quando però ha iniziato a non riempirsi più di acqua da scaricare nel water. Ho richiamato Il padrone che ha chiamato un tecnico ed ha risolto. Un giorno prima che andassi via ha ripreso a non funzionare e ho richiamato il padrone che con un semplice tocco ha risolto: prima di andar via ho risolto in maniera autonoma senza richiamarlo. Ci sono maniglie sgangherate che fuoriescono dalla porta ma cmq si riusciva a chiudere correttamente impedendo l'accesso a chi non avesse le chiavi. Il condizionatore non si accendeva: il proprietario si è attivato e ha risolto. Comunque a 16 gradi dopo 3h non raffreddava meno di 25 gradi e alle volte si spegneva automaticamente. C'è stato un transito continuo di formiche nell'appartamento anche sul letto che non ho usato. Pulizie ogni 2gg approssimative per cui non avevano ripulito del cibo rimasto nel frigo del precedente inquilino. Lasciavano solo 1/4 di rotolo di carta igienica per 2gg.

Proprio niente. Non ci siamo mai arrivati perché l'indirizzo è finto, il numero di telefono è finto e il proprietario non ci ha mai risposto ai messaggi. Il risultato è stato che abbiamo pagato una camera finta, mai usata e che alle 23:30 con 2 bambini, abbiamo dovuto cercare una nuova sistemazione.
