We stayed in a room in the lodge itself, not one of the cabins. The place is old and could use some upgrades. Breakfast and staff were excellent. The gift shop is cute with lots of options.

Excellent location with easy access to a lot of the trails in the area and a short drive to Auxiers Ridge trails. The rooms could use some updating as they start to show regular aging and cleaning could be more in depth and reaching all surfaces. every staff is extremely nice and helpful. overall a great quality to price ratio.

The best part of the park is the natural bridge. Visitors can either walk to it or if the 500 foot climb is too much, they can ride the lift for a cost. We also enjoyed the hike to Grays Arch that is in the state park section. The cottage where we stayed was ok,but didn't have a cottage feel. Also the parking for cottage guests was lacking as there were not enough spaces . Also the 40 step stairs to get to the cottage would be difficult for some people especially for all the luggage and other items that have to be carried down and then back up But overall the stay was good.

Overall, room and stay were great. Staff was very helpful. Small leak from condensation from AC left a small puddle just inside the door. Placing a towel under it was enough that it didn’t become a problem. Always love being in Red River Gorge area.

Friendly people in a beautiful area! The views are amazing! The lodge is not too big, and not too small... and the architecture blends in nicely with the scenery. Our balcony was nice and deep! It was great to still be able to safely enjoy that sheltered sense of being up in the woods and watch as a summer rainstorm passed through the area.
