"Our A/C was not working right but once we notified the front desk it was taken care of quickly. Some of the lights were not working well and all were SO dim - we can understand conserving energy but it was truly dark in our room without every light on. Loved the lobby decor etc. and elevators were fast and efficient (not a small thing in a tall building). Shower was good, beds comfortable."

"Excellent hotel in Lower East Side. We had the double room which worked great for us, a couple with adult daughter, as we had 2 rooms with king and queen beds, with shared bathroom. Check in was smooth, and staff super helpful with requests for amenities. Bar is very cool - great drinks and great vibes. We didn’t eat at Dirty French other than breakfast, but the menu is great and it was buzzing in the evenings. Overall a great stay- we will be back!"

"The hotel is clean and in a great location (the Mission next door makes for some colourful neighbours, but no problem really). The rooms are small but well laid out for the space. As many other reviews have said, this is NOT a great hotel for couples unless you are okay with one of having to crawl over the other to get out of bed (the bed is walled on three sides) and also, the "bathroom" is a thinly glassed-in closet, really. Again, all clean and smart and totally fine but if you are a traveler who intends to do anything other than sleep in your room or you are a couple, this is might not be the hotel for you. Excellent hotel for solo travellers. Staff were nice, bar downstairs is handy for things. Hotel does not have some of the basics you'd expect - eg., they will not bring an iron to your room, you have to go some other "ironing room" to use one which is inconvenient and not great. They are skimpy with the towels so order more as soon as you arrive. The ipad thing is fine, a bit weird to figure out at first but fine. Not sure why it's better than simple switches, but guess it's considered cool. I was lucky that my neighbours were quiet so I had no issue with noise, but a couple other people I met there complained about the noise from other rooms. As I say, I didn't have that problem so cannot speak to how thin the walls are or are not."
