"Our stay was consistently underwhelming. On arriving at the hotel reception, we were told the glamping pods are only accessible on foot because the chair lifts stop operating early. The hike is a steep, exhausting 20‑minute uphill climb — we were given a map and told to find our own way there. At no point were we informed about this beforehand.
After finally reaching the pods, we discovered there was no fridge and no drinking water provided, only the bathroom tap. There were no signs...

"We had the best time at The Captain’s Lodge! The lodge is very clean and cozy! The location is absolutely perfect! We were able to walk to everything. Right across the street is a place to rent bikes and a bike trail to the lake/restaurants. Communication/check in and check out were very easy! We enjoyed every minute and we were sad to leave! We totally recommend staying here!!"

"Cabins were spotless and well-equipped. Setting is idyllic. Check-in was a hassle. A mother and daughter run the place - had spoken to the daughter a few days before arrival - very friendly and helpful. She indicated either her or her mom would be there to check us in. Online, in our reservation, it had indicated check-in between 2 pm and 4 pm. We arrived a little bit after 2:30 pm. No one was there - called the number - daughter is surprised no one is there - said she would go call her...

I have never used the word expceptional in a review, but truely have no comments. The place is very nicely decorated simple and elegent. Brakfast amazing selection with real coffe. Staff very nice. The location is right inside the old town.
