"Great location! The Refuge Inn's rooms were individually decorated and very quaint. A pony pen was next to the hotel that our grandkids loved to visit and feed corn kernels to the ponies. Staff was friendly and made us feel like guests not customers."

"Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Place is great. The "kayak acces" or whatever it is was over grown and inaccessible. Door locks were fidgeting, had to het them just right to lock. Wasn't sure if we could open windows without alarm going off. Deck was nice with screened in area was great with a strong breeze coming off bay/canal. Master bed was a brick."

"We were looking for a dog friendly place to vacation with our furry son. He travels with us all the time. The fenced in yard and deck were great for him. The decor was beautiful and the kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed to cook with. We had a wonderful and relaxing time."

"We just returned from the most wonderful week in Chincoteague staying at a beautiful house, Castlebar, two doors down from our best friends’ home. The house was charming, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and a glorious view of the bay. The icing on the cake was the walk to the end of the dock and the two benches that waited for you to relax and soak in the beauty. Any trip to Chincoteague comes with the most beautiful, stunning sunsets and Castlebar is the perfect place to witness them. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. It was a real treat for a family and for two young grandsons who truly had a blast."

"Everything was nice. Very nice beach theme decor. Ample utensils in the kitchen, comfy beds. If it was a little warmer we might have taken d a the of the porches but it was cooler than usual for this time of year. We would not hesitate to come to this cottage again."

"The kitchen was well stocked & had everything you would need. The place was beautiful & it was so relaxing to sit out on the deck in very comfortable chairs and watch the water & stars at night. There was a problem with the A/C when we checked in but we received an instant response when we notified them and a technician came out and replaced a part so it was up and running again in no time. Customer service was excellent. There was only 1 pack ‘n play but we only needed one so that worked out fine for us. I would definitely recommend staying here."
