"Checked in and was told room was not ready asked to wait and room was ready 4 minutes later - waste of time!! Also asked if I wanted an upgrade for a harbour view room at a fee of $80 - declined and when I entered my room had a harbour view. Not sure why you need to squeeze more $$ out of guests when hotel rates in Van are already insane."

"Parking: I chose to self park due to an early departure plan—and paid for that. The hotel rents valet space in the pay lot across the street. Or you can pay less to the hotel and park there yourself. When I got to my car the next morning there was two days of parking tickets on the windshield. Clearly the hotel and the lot do not communicate well. The room was nice-/but the TV didn’t work at all. I reported that, and they thanked me—but that was it. If the disputed tickets are not rescinded I won’t stay again. There are many options."

"Affordable small rooms in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Fine for single or couple just make sure you book an appropriate bed size and be prepared to shower with the toilet. Staff was friendly. Overall fine stay for a night or 2 if you're just looking for a place to sleep. The hardwood floors made it a bit noisy with people moving about above. Would stay again if needing another night in the city. Walkability was good to get to the sea wall or Stanley park. Lots of food options, bars, and nightlife right outside your door."

"We had a very nice room on the 16th floor with a water view. It was a 1 bedroom with a combination living room (with a sofa bed) / kitchen, and a modern bathroom. It also had a washer/dryer combo. It was clean and comfortable. My one suggestion would be to have a mattress topper for the sofa bed."

"The location is good if you want to be close to English Bay, Stanley Park and Robson. It is an old apartment building (1954) converted to hotel suites, so you are among other residential apartment buildings. The street is lovely and tree-lined. It is quiet and walkable to Denman and English Bay. The bus system is easy to get to Robson or a quick cab/uber The unit is clean and the bed was comfortable but do not expect fancy new finishes or furnishings. There is no central A/C but there was a portable unit and fans. It wasn't an issue for my stay. The elevator is really funky."

"Came to BC for a little fall trip and wanted to stay somewhere centrally located. Place was very easy to get to from the airport using public transportation. The hotel room wasn’t ready unfortunately when we got there despite it being past our check in time. They offered us a free drink at the karma lounge so I wasn’t too upset. Had not even finished my glass of wine before they came and gave us the room key! Room itself was clean and so comfy. All the things you’d expect and some i thought were nice additions. The amenities were great! Gym had plenty of things for a solid work out. The spa was a 10/10. Used the puzzle bike company for our bike rentals and had tons of fun. Turn down service was a nice touch and left chocolates on the bed. I will say we stayed Sunday- Friday and Thursday night there was some kind of event in the night club happening and I could definitely hear the music but it didn’t go past 9:30pm. Fortunately we didn’t stay friday/Saturday night when the night club is fully open and operating. It’s open till 3am according to online so maybe keep that into consideration if booking one of those days… the sounds definitely would have kept me up. Giving 4 stars due to the nightclub and room not being ready, but I would definitely consider staying again."
