Sobral de Monte Agraco Holidays

From the minute I arrived, I was made to feel very welcome. The pretty, tiled entrance was a cool haven from the heat. I booked a superior room with a balcony which was spacious, clean and a bit of a treat for solo travelling me. The decor of the room was modern and comfortable - very comfy bed, too - plenty of storage. A good sized shower room, clean towels everyday. Breakfast was a nice, fresh buffet - with the option of cooked eggs if you want. A good selection of cold cuts, bread, cheese, fruit, juice, hot drinks.... Everything is immaculate in the little dining room. All staff that I met were delightful - friendly, chatty, caring and happy to help with recommendations. A nice touch was the communal mini bar - a cold beer after 8-10 hours walking and exploring was always going to hit the mark! I loved my time at 1869 - as a solo female traveller it is crucial to have a safe place to return to and rest each evening. And the final thing to comment on is the proximity to cafés, restaurants, high end shops, gardens and some truly beautiful residential roads.

The lobby is cool. The staff is very helpful. Room was unique and comfortable. Nicelly decorated.

The hotel is located in the Bairro Alto district. It is a picturesque and vibrant neighborhood, easy walking distance to the central shopping district, but much less crowded. The hotel is set in a beautifully renovated 19th century building. The service is wonderful; the staff is professional, but very warm and helpful. This is now my hotel of choice in Lisbon.

Wow! What a property, packed with history and antiques to delight. Our suite was the Lola suite, aptly named as we have a dog called Lola. A large lounge, bedroom and bathroom to delight. It was a genuine home from home, the staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was something else... taken on a balcony overlooking the river with an amazing view. Check the photos for fine details of the interior with all its art and furniture. 100 percent will be our future go to place in Lisbon and a perfect location, surrounded by the areas bars and restaurants so there is something for everyone. Breakfast was a great start to the day. Good selection of foods and coffee, tea, etc. Lovely hotel, awesome location overlooking the castle. Room comfortable and clean. And peacocks! Would definitely recommend and stay here again. It is up the hill in the historic area, so best for those who like to walk.
