Somano Hotel Guide - Hotels with Pool in Somano, Piedmont

"We looked for a hotel in the area for an overnight stay as part of our family European road trip. The hotel has free onsite parking which was quite useful. We were greeted by friendly reception staff. The pool was also lovely for the kids to cool down on hot summer’s day. The bathroom could do with an update as the shower door was slightly broken but we only stayed for one night so it did not bother me too much. "

"We were here for 4 nights and was very well looked after by Senora Carla and son, Marco. Panoramic view of vineyards, after vineyards as the eyes to the mountains. Nice drop of Barolo wine with our takeaway pizza. Do try El Torche at Dogliani for dinner - great food! "

"The hotel is magical, part of a working vineyard. It has a Michelin restaurant. Reservations a must. The wine tours with the affiliated Barolo producers were excellent. One downside is its isolation. Difficult to reach especially at night. If you're driving it's not for the faint hearted. Sometimes the GPS would lose the signal but otherwise, a gorgeous place. The special 5 course dinner was spectacular in its volume, the many comped dishes, the creativity, etc"

"One minus: the spa is not free of charge (this should be said in the description in hotels.com) and it costs the ludicrous amount of 60 euros for 50 minutes."
