The one person staff waws very nice and helpful. The rooms are very dated and in somewhat disrepair, poor heating, poor water pressure. The shower water temp regulates on its own and there is no slip pads in the shower, very slippery. The heating is not good. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was surprisingly good with fresh cakes, pastries and bread, waffles if you wanted. The hotel is 175 years old and is full of history and antiques.

Customer service was excellent! Whatever we needed the staff made sure to do their best to get it and as quickly as possible. They were talkative and friendly with the people staying there, and I was impressed with their care. I would have liked to have access to coffee either in my room or at least too late at night. Other than that I was good. The day was wonderful and we would recommend it to anyone who asked.

Great place for Yosemite trip

Historic hotel. We stayed for our Yosemite trip. Great location with a nice town and plenty of restaurants close by. The staff gave exceptional service. Awesome breakfast. Highly recommend.

The staff was excellent!!!!.The property is OK but at night you can not sleep , because of vehicle sound through the doors they cannot control that part, for the linen had hole in it . I wish they could get more money to fix the place up. it was OK.

The history of the hotel, as well as the location, was great. The gentleman who checked us in seemed to be in charge of everything, including breakfast, which was great. He was friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

It was very comfortable and I felt like I went back in time. The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was prepared there in the hotel and was delicious. The pool was clean, and it was very affordable. I enjoyed the five day stay.

Stayed here overnight to go to an Ironstone Winery concert in Murphys. Clean, comfy, and very nostalgic of the gold rush era. Cute rooms with AC that works okay-ish. Nice pool! Super lovely staff that runs this historic landmark hotel, which is conveniently located within short walking distance to nice eateries and restaurants, as well as adorable shops in Sonora

Quaint hotel

This is a historic hotel in the heart of downtown Sonora. The decor is quirky but overall charming. Our air conditioner worked well until it started making screeching noise during the night. The breakfast is impressive with homemade cakes and a frittata and the coffee is good. Also the usual breakfast stuff like the waffle maker.
