The COVID-19 pandemic has affected how the world works in so many ways, including our approach to travel. The following tips will help you better understand these new challenges and get you ready for your journey to Sotavento Islands:

• Research if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before locking in a flight. Also check if there are any conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as testing and quarantining.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at security checkpoints. You should be prepared to adjust your mask for identification purposes when asked.
• Do not hand your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA officer. Rather, you should place the pass on the scanner and then hold it up for inspection.
• You can take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. You'll have to remove it for screening.
• Put any personal items (like your phone and wallet) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during screening.
• Transport any food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping your food separate from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA agent will need to open your bag for inspection.
