We stayed for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing! Stunning scenery everywhere you turn. The property is very well maintained. Tamara and Cletus are super kind and hospitable! We would recommend renting a car to get around because the roads are so steep. Tamara arranged for a rental car to be dropped off at the villa for us, and we had a good experience with the company. The villa is in a great location for exploring around Soufriere provided you have a car. Short drive to places like Sugar Beach, the mud baths, and many more popular destinations. This is an indoor/outdoor living space, so make sure you are comfortable without AC and are okay with lizards and such. We had a fantastic stay and hope to come back again!

Paradise

The Hermitage Jewel was wonderful. Tamara Franciis was the best host! The home has spectacular views. The weather as perfect. Tamara Franciis provided great breakfast and dinner. Her smoothies were the best I have ever had. We will definitely remember our wonderful vacation. Thanks so much!!

Romantic!

Such a lovely vacation! The view from the house is spectacular and there great beaches nearby. Thank you to Tamara and her husband Cletus for making our 2 days at Sugar Beach possible! Tamara is amazing and a terrific cook! We will miss her breakfasts. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Just what we needed!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to relax and "reset" from a very stressful year.Heritage Jewel provided us with the perfect spot and so much more than we were looking for. Tammara and Cleatus treated us like long lost family members from the moment we arrived. We especially enjoyed being treated every morning for breakfast and great conversation.This hidden gem is in the perfect location. Who could imagine looking at the Piton and wanting to leave? But, for short excursions, there is so much to explore to renew the spirit.We look forward to coming back again soon!10/10

Tropical paradise

If you are lucky enough to get a reservation at Hermitage Jewel you will have won the vacation lottery. The villa is spectacular, views are out of this world (you really feel like you’re on another planet watching the sun set between the Pitons) and the amazing breakfasts and care by Tamara and her team is extraordinary. We try to come every year and I hope that’s true for many years to come. We love this jewel, both people and place

Incredible Experience

What an amazing trip. I just adore this spot as it’s our second trip here. The view is just breath taking. Where else in the world can you look at that view each morning and evening? A beautiful, hot breakfast and coffee to wake up to with fresh fruit from the garden. Tamara, the manager, and staff are just first class and make you feel right at home. The snorkeling and waterfalls were incredible…we can’t wait to come back. 💕

Hermitage Jewel

Our honeymoon stay at the Hermitage Jewel was perfection. Tamara and V made us delicious and fresh breakfasts and made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. We enjoyed renting a car and touring St. Lucia, the most picturesque country with beautiful weather!!!

Jewel of a Jewel

Hermitage Jewel is a gorgeous property above a lush rainforest set in a garden of blossoming birds of paradise and tropical wildflowers with a stunning plunge pool. We were hosted by Tamara whose warmth, kindness and spectacular breakfasts are one reason we keep returning to this paradise.

Serene Setting with Stunning Scenery

Safe and secluded area. The only neighbours you hear are the birds. Easy drive to town, beaches and other locations. A few walkable restaurants (Brigands, Chocolate Project, Hotel Chocolate).Pleasant breezes and wind in the palms lull you to sleep at night and stunning views of Piton and and rainforest greet you in the morning.Villa was very clean with all the amenities: a well equipped kitchen, bedrooms with comfortable beds and mosquito netting), variety of games available.Tamara and V were the most welcoming, warm and pleasant hosts, providing fresh, tasty breakfasts, responsive and accommodating our requests, offering good recommendations for local vendors.Highly recommend, not just for the setting, but also the people.

Truly a Jewel

Just our style, very laid back, rustic. Had a great time enjoying the pool, the beautiful sunsets/piton views and breakfast made for you as an added perk. The sulfur baths are within walking distance and there’s a great hiking trail around Rabot Estate/Hotel Chocolate. Renting a car thru Cool breeze very easy, pick up and drop off at the house. Tamara and Vee are great! We would love to go back.

Highly recommend

Our stay in November was fantastic. I enjoyed every day in St.Lucia and at the villa. The whole experience was magnified with the Hermitage Jewell staff who were helpful in planning our trip and very welcoming once we got there. The views were fantastic and the property was private from other tourist and villas. The location was great, close drive to beaches, hiking, and waterfalls. We will miss Tamara, V, Duane, and Tamara's husband Cletus above all. We will be visiting St. Lucia again.

Priceless Views and Extraordinary Service

Our second stay at Hermitage Jewel. We came back for two reasons - 1) the spectacular views of the Pitons, the ocean, and rainbows, and 2) because we receive outstanding service and guidance from the property manager, Tamara. Her advice and connections make the visit far more enjoyable than if we had made plans on our own. She is always available to help in any way. A really great experience!

Amazing Stay & Experience

Where to start! Tamara, Cletus and Vee were beyond amazing! They pulled out all the stops to welcome us and make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The food, the recommendations/advice, and conversation were next level. From the cooked breakfasts to airport transportation to assistance with rental vehicle & tour arrangements, we definitely felt that by staying at this villa we got extra out of the experience. These things set this villa apart hands down from other options and we highly recommend staying here for your next vacation.

Hermitage in Paradise

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa. The views are stunning and the villa itself is quaint and comfortable. The hospitality shown by Tamara and Vee was incredible. Both of these wonderful people made our stay so much more. Tamara had great recommendations for snorkeling day trips (with Solomon Justice) and dinners out (Deschene at Ladera was incredible). And they both make the most delicious breakfasts! The location is perfect, close enough to town to pick up groceries but secluded enough to feel you’re alone in the jungle. Highly recommended for couples looking for a low key, relaxing getaway.

Simply paradise

Hermitage Jewel is breathtaking! Waking each morning to the view of the beautiful Pitons, falling asleep each night to the sounds of nature was magical. The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond. It was a joy to see Vee’s smiling face each morning when she prepared breakfast and comfort to have Tamara checking in to see if we needed anything.The house is open air but we had no issues using bug spray and citronella candles at night. The fans in each room made sleeping at night very comfortable. The pool is refreshing and beautiful. We rented a car and were happy we did. Would highly recommend staying here and hope to return one day ourselves.

Best Place to Stay in St. Lucia

We stayed at this property for our recent trip to St. Lucia. The Property is absolutely beautiful and located at a great location with spectacular views and access to many a key places to visit and explore. The property manager & team - just wonderful people and ready to help with everything you need. They picked us up at the airport. Got us a jeep rental right at the property. Helped us plan our trip. Made reservations for us as needed. Breakfast everyday was a delight. Each day we came back to a well cleaned and all ready house for us to enjoy house. The house itself has it all you need. we had an amazing time and recommend it highly for your vacation plans to St. Lucia.

Best View

We were impressed with the quality of the hospitality by the host Tamara and Vee the helper. The view is a 10/10 and we had everything we needed at this place. The only negative was the mosquitos at night. The place is rustic and very comfortable but perhaps could use a little bit of remodeling. My suggestion would be install an AC unit and somehow enclose the indoors but this might be difficult due to the built of the ceilings. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend it for anyone.

We stayed at the Hermitage Jewel for 7 days in September and it was absolutely fantastic. Tami started communicating with us well before our stay letting us know what we needed. When we arrived we were picked up at the airport by the wonderful Cletus. Once there we were greeted by Tami and given the tour. The property is up in the hills about 45 minutes from airport and about 15 minutes from Soufriere. The first thing that strikes you is the absolutely magnificent view of the Pitons. The view by itself is worth 5 stars. There are two houses close by but there are so much vegetation you don’t see anyone. The property has avocado trees, coconut trees, and so many beautiful plants and flowers. As we relaxed on the porch with some fresh made rum punch, Tami made us dinner. That service is extra but I can assure you it is worth every penny. Tami ended up making dinner for us two more times and every meal was delicious. Tami also made breakfast in the mornings which consisted of fresh eggs, fresh juice, and the best fruit I’ve ever tasted. I’ll never have a mango as good as we had in St Lucia. The house is open air (no air conditioning), so be prepared for some bugs and lizards, which my wife loved (the lizards not the bugs). The afternoons were a bit hot but the good news is the pool is only steps away and definitely cooled us off. Tami arranged for a rental car to be delivered, another great service Tami provided. It is definitely worth the expense if you are comfortable

Your own private paradise!

It was heaven on earth. Not only is the property beautiful with amazing views, the couple managing it are the absolute best. They reached out prior to our visit and helped us in all aspects of planning. Having your own private pool to come home to each day is a plus. The breakfast was amazing and Tamara and her husband came over to cook me a special breakfast on my birthday morning with a gift ❤️ St. Lucia is full of the nicest people and we felt so welcomed. Definitely make sure to visit Anse Mamin and snorkel on the leftside of the beach and eat one of the delicious burgers at the bar. We loved the waterfalls, mud baths and eating chocolate from Hotel Chocolat right below your driveway. Also make sure to eat at Pounty Pizza in Soufriere. It was so good and run by a 33 year old entrepreneur that ensures you have the best experience. Don't look at any other rentals as this one will check all the boxes. We will be back!

Another Day in Paradise

Words can’t describe how wonderful our stay was at Hermitage Jewel. It was a little slice of Heaven! I believe it is the best view you can get on the island. We ate dinner at resort restaurant Hotel Chocolate, and Dashene at Ladera resort, and the view from Hermitage beat them both!We felt blessed to wake up every morning to view the magnificent Pitons. Tamara and Cletus were the most fabulous hosts, and they instantly made us feel welcomed- they were like family. Tamara made us a delicious home cooked meal the night we arrived which included a tasty rum punch. Her breakfasts every morning were such a treat- must ask for her homemade lemonade and her fruit smoothie. But what we really enjoyed was her company!We did not rent a car, and we were lucky enough to have Super Dave be our driver to anywhere we wanted to go. He was always at our disposal and took us on many excursions like the Mud baths, the Torlaine Falls, the Diamond Falls, the Tet Paul Hike, and to The Beacon restaurant with a beautiful view of the Pitons and town below. We felt nothing but peace and tranquillity our entire stay. One of our favorite things was falling asleep to the sounds of the frogs croaking and the breeze blowing.Hermitage Jewel is a super special place in a super special country. It is a trip we will never forget!

Honeymoon of our Dreams

Where do I even begin… we had the best honeymoon I could’ve ever imagined and we owe it all to this place. American Airlines overbooked our flight getting there so we missed a full day. Tamara was very understanding and even tried to find us another villa if we decided to extend our trip. When we arrived, Tamara welcomed us with the best rum punches! She helped us plan out our week and gave us great recommendations on what to do. Her and her husband helped arrange a couple days for us to go to Sugar Beach which was greatly appreciated. The housekeeper Vee was amazing and I am missing her breakfasts already. Tamara helped arrange for my husband and I to rent a car during our stay and we had so much fun exploring the island. I can’t say enough good about this place. We are already talking to our family about going back with them. Thank you all for an amazing vacation! Recommendations: - Dinner at Orlando’s (still thinking about how amazing this meal was) - A day at Sugar Beach (renting a chair is $100/each but you can easily just bring a towel and enjoy the beach) - Hiking Gros Piton (I recommend you do this towards the end of your trip as we were sore for days after…pretty challenging hike) - Dinner at Treetop (the views were amazing during sunset)

Perfect honeymoon

The view of the pitons and ocean from the property are overwhelmingly beautiful. The property manager, Tamara, was friendly and welcoming and helped arrange lovely beach days at Sugar Beach, as well as a couples massage at the house, and having the rental jeep delivered. We always looked forward to conversation with her while she cooked her amazing breakfasts. Glenda, the housekeeper, prepared breakfast a few days also and they equally exceeded our expectations. We will miss these ladies! We unknowingly came during the rainy season, but we wouldn't have changed a thing. Rainfall was brief but places weren't crowded, and the rain was relaxing to sleep to, or float in the ocean or sit in a waterfall during. The house itself is spacious, clean, quiet, and safe. We enjoyed the pool for cooling off or watching sunset. We were quite comfortable sleeping with just the breeze and fans, and there's no light pollution. We were on the fence about staying at a private house versus a resort, but were glad we made the choice to stay here.

A jewel in the rainforest

Hermitage Jewel on the Rabot estate is perfectly situated to enjoy the incomparable views of the Pitons, rainforest and Caribbean sea. Access and walking trails on the Rabot estate, Hotel Chocolat, are also a huge plus. The location is approx. a 15 min drive to Soufriere and nearby resorts like sugar Beach, with Hotel Chocolat & Ladera less than 5 mins away. Driving is a challenge but we do recommend renting a car through Tamara or in advance at the airport. The property is well stocked with older appliances in basic condition. there are some deferred maintenance issues and updates that are needed. use the bottled water provided and be sure to bring extra converters for "Great Britain" not the Caribbean. We definitely needed the insect repellant & we loved the standing fan at night & the pool all day to cool off. Our super hosts, Tamara & her husband Cletus were amazing...so kind and helpful , they truly went up and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. V, Dwight and Dwayne also helped to keep the spot in great shape. We also loved the company of the resident Bird "George" & "tiger the cat"

Wonderful Two Week Trip to Paradise

Amazing view-perfect location-close to island attractions & our favorite restaurant, Brigand’s Hideaway. But Tamara, the property mgr & her husband, Cletus. made the experience amazing. Tamara arranged-a Jeep to be waiting for us at the villa when we arrived, for the driver to stop at a grocery on the way to the villa from the airport, a ½ day boat tour from Soufriere (15min from villa), a taxi from Soufriere to Anse Chastanet & Mamin Beaches (driving there is not recommended for tourists-it’s steep, narrow, & bumpy & is difficult to meet another vehicle), & a driver to the airport the day we left. She also gave great advice regarding best times to go to nearby attractions to avoid cruise ship crowds. Cletus secured lunch reservations & a day at Sugar Beach when there were fewer cruise ships, & drove all of us into Soufriere to the farmer’s market on Saturday morning. Such warm, welcoming people. who went above & beyond for us. An honor to have met them. I must mention her delicious breakfasts with new (to us) fruit nearly every morning & smoothies! She even cooked up some christophine au gratin for us to try! Delicious! Lisa, the housekeeper & Dwayne, the gardener were sweet as well! Mud baths are right next door, but take Tamara’s advice - go late in the day! There were only a handful of people when we went! Other reviews mentioned bugs, but they really weren’t too bad, just don’t forget bug spray! I highly recommend a visit to Hermitage Jewel! You’ll love the experience!
