Breakfast was incredible everyday and on days when we had excursions the hotel assisted in trying to ensure we could have food or drink prior. The Riad is located inside the old city walls, in the Jewish quarter of the Medina. Yes, it’s a bit chaotic outside with mopeds, taxis, and even the occasional donkey — but that’s part of the charm and exactly why you choose to stay in the Medina.
Once inside, it’s a peaceful oasis. The quiet courtyard, complete with a pool, lounge areas, pool table, and a restaurant/bar, offers a perfect retreat from the busy streets.
Our room was spacious, with excellent air conditioning, a separate living room area, a refrigerator, and even a balcony overlooking the pool — a wonderful touch.
The complimentary breakfast was outstanding each morning. I’d also recommend using the hotel-arranged airport transfer instead of a taxi — much smoother and more reliable.
At checkout, the staff even sent us off with a delicious lunch bag for the trip home — such a thoughtful gesture.
