This place was wonderful. We were very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! It is in a great location, close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay!
Nice and quiet area. We got in late the night prior to taking the ferry to the Magdalen Island so we couldn't really explore the area but had a nice relaxing stay after a long drive and a good breakfast inbthe morning.
Beautiful older home, well restored. Breakfast was great. Check in was easy. We really enjoyed our short stay and would definitely go there next time we’re in the area.
Great location, with a great view. Rooms were clean and large. Our host went above and beyond with an early breakfast as we had an early departure time. Would stay again
We very much enjoyed our stay here at the McLean House! It was a great location right near the ferry dock. The room and bathroom were clean, the beds comfortable and the service for breakfast was excellent :)
Lovely old property, full of character. We just stayed for one night on our bike trip around PEI, but it provided everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing night. The breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful, and even allowed us to store our bikes safely on the property. For dinner check out 21 Breakwater Restaurant (less than 5 mins walk away).

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
A bit expensive.
Noisy rooms and average breakfast.
Nice staff.
It was a nice and charming stay at the McLean House - clean and cozy. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
It is an old building kept in a reasonably good state. We enjoyed the special atmosphere! The breakfast was a bit underwhelming - with a little more effort, the presentation and selection of food could have been improved.
Don’t let the outward appearance of this place fool you!! The Inn was lovely and Virginia our Inn host was one of our favorite parts of PEI. Homemade chocolate chip cookies and customized breakfast, a rarity in PEI, added to the welcoming atmosphere of the inn room.
We loved the quaint and historic McLean house. Check-in was very smooth and they accommodated our late arrival. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. We also really enjoyed breakfast every morning and the views from the dining room. Highly recommended!
Charming old home turned into a B&B. Comfortable and spacious room—#201 on second floor (note that stairway is steep, and there are three steps down to the bathroom). Good breakfast with fresh eggs, sausage and potatoes; blueberry granola & yogurt “parfait” and muffins were offered each day. Lovely and accommodating host, who drove 1.5 hours on a Sunday to buy a tub bathmat as I was afraid of slipping. And you will see wild red fox visiting the grounds!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Interesting place spoilt a little by wifi not working when we arrived (but fixed later that evening) and a broken shower door making it difficult to close properly.
Nice breakfast. Not many dining options but would recommend 'Red Claw' a short walk away. Basic from outside and OK in but good quality of food.
Peaceful location with outdoor seating and indoor lounge. Very nice breakfast conservatory.
Parking very easy.
Nestled away from the bustling tourist spots of PEI, my family and I stumbled upon a hidden gem. The inn exudes warmth and character with an inviting facade which whispers promises of relaxation and comfort. The staff greeted us like long-lost friends with unparalleled hospitality. They knew exactly what we needed-an escape from the chaos of city life.
Our room/our sanctuary was immaculately clean with a delightful view that framed the ocean. The quietness enveloped us, wrapping us in a cocoon of peace.
A short drive took us to shimmering shores where the waves danced playfully under the afternoon sun. We indulged in fresh seafood at the many quaint local restaurants, savoring every bite while we joyed just being together in such a beautiful place.
Wandering through the town, I found a feeling I hadn’t experienced in years-the freedom to roam without apprehension. What struck me most was the considerate nature of the drivers, who patiently stopped at crosswalks, allowing us to explore at our leisure. It felt like a community woven together by kindness.
By the time we returned to the inn each night, the peaceful ambiance encouraged restful sleep, a welcome reprieve from the frantic energy of city life. Each day unfolded like the last, filled with exploration and the simple joy of being together.
This trip was more than just a getaway and we look forward to returning with open hearts and eager spirits.
