Trout Stream Lodge on the South Fork of the Rio Grande

Trout Stream Lodge is a 3500 s.f. luxurious open concept new home located on the South Fork of the Rio Grande River. This home has 4 bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a private bathroom with a spacious shower. The oversized kitchen contains two ovens and a large island making this a cook's dream. This is perfect for entertaining a house full of family and friends. The main living room has large windows which offer a great view of the river. This living space has a beautiful propane fireplace that creates not only heat but the perfect ambience. The second living area upstairs is perfect for another gathering place if you have a large group! The hot tub located on the back porch overlooking the river is perfect for relaxing in after a long day enjoying the local scenery. This home has incredible views of the river and local wildlife. Wolf Creek ski area is just a 20 minute drive away. Trout Stream is neighbors with Lazy Moose, Bear Path, Rio River and Elk River.

5 Stars – Perfect Mountain Getaway!

We had a fantastic stay at this South Fork property with our large family. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and ideal for our group. The views were absolutely stunning, and we especially loved relaxing by the river and soaking in the hot tub after a day of adventures. The location couldn’t be better—just minutes from the ski hill and close to all the outdoor activities we came for. We made incredible memories and will definitely be back!

Great Stay for Ski Trips

The photos don’t do this place justice. When we entered the house it was beyond our expectations. The place is setup perfectly for large groups like ours making it amazing for conversations in the living room and kitchen. The location is scenic and peaceful with the stream nearby. I would definitely book this place in the future!

Fun with Old Friends

Everyone had a private, comfortable place to be. The kitchen is nicely appointed. Although the chairs are short for the kitchen table, it is a beautiful one. We also enjoyed the poker table, very nice hot tub and fire pit. Would love to stay here again.

Cabin was perfect for a family of 11. Had our Christmas at the Cabin and spent time on the Wolf Creek slopes. We have stayed in Pagosa Springs one year and South Fork for the last 4 years. Trout Stream cabin was the best and we would book it again for next year but it was already booked.

This property is awesome and if we ever have a large enough group; we'll be back!

The pictures honestly don't do this property justice. Ample amount of room for sleeping arrangements as well as hanging out. It bathrooms a long with walk in closets in most. Close to other towns that offer a lot of things to do. The patio with hot tub and grill was a hit. And who wouldn't want a river in their backyard.

Trout Stream Lodge on the South Fork of the Rio Grande

We were really impressed with our stay at the Trout Stream Lodge. The Lodge was spacious and well maintained, and as such, provided a comfortable stay for our group. The only drawback is the property borders Hwy 160 so the bedrooms which face the highway have to deal with vehicle traffic throughout the night while sleeping with the windows open since there is no A/C. Other than that, the Lodge is a VERY nice place for a larger group to stay at. All rooms are large so we never felt confined in any way. Our group enjoyed the hot tub, also. We will definitely try to stay here again!!

Weekend in South Fork

We had 10 adults and 4 small children in our group, and the house was beautiful, comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked! Communication with JoyceAnn was easy. There is no bar/body soap or shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom, so be sure to bring your own. Will surely stay here again! Thank you!

Incredible house / stay

We stayed here over the 4th of July and it was incredible. There was plenty of room for our huge family to stay, all of the bedrooms are great with their own bathroom with huge walk in shower (I think 2 had a bathtub) and walk in closet. The kitchen was bigger than the pictures suggest and the living room area was plenty big. The back porch area was where we stayed most of the time. The river is literally less than 10 yards away from the patio, which has a huge table, grill, and hot tub to enjoy the evenings. Everything went smooth during our stay. I did have to reach out to Joyce, she responded immediately, happened to be in the area, and came over to help us with something in the house. The location in South Fork is great. There is easy access to Wolf Creek over to Pagosa Springs as well as Creede (and beyond for us - Lake City). Everyone in our group was impressed with the setup and, if / when we come back to the area, this will definitely be the first place we look at staying. Thanks for the memories!!

Beautiful home and location on Rio grande. House set up very well and clean. We had 3 families, 9 children under she 8... Very relaxing. Able to sit in back yard/porch and watch them play on river on tubes we brought To er low enough for kids to enjoy safely this time of year . Hope to visit again. Ramons restaurant was great also across the street.
