The COVID-19 pandemic may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't dampened our enthusiasm for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to navigate the new challenges of travelling:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking anything. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll have to follow on arrival, such as proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
• Wear a face mask even during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to adjust your mask for identification purposes.
• Rather than handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, place it directly on the scanner yourself. When that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• One container of liquid hand sanitizer is now permitted in your carry-on bag. It must be no larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to take it out of your bag for X-ray scanning.
• To reduce handling during screening, place items such as your phone, keys and wallet into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• Separate any food you're carrying for screening. Food items often trigger the alarm. Putting them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to handle and inspect your belongings.
