Join Us at Our Bahama Beach Lodge - 2nd story private duplex

  • Beautiful property on the bay side of the island, in a quiet family friendly neighborhood. The perfect home for your next family vacation.

    Our great room with cathedral ceilings and large windows give this home a spacious feel. French doors that open onto a large south facing porch bring the lush tropical outdoors in to you. Our home also features a large full kitchen, with a complete assortment of cooking utensils and appliances for dining & entertaining. Additional seating on the porch is great for family dinners or an excellent view of the Friday night fireworks.

    Both bedrooms have bamboo floors, walk in closets to store away suitcases, and full bathrooms, with plenty of room for the whole family! It is only a short walk to either the beach or the entertainment district, but far enough away for peace and quiet.

    The owners are always close at hand. While you have private access to the entire upper story of our house, we live in the separate, ground floor condo with our 2 boys & our pets. We give our guests the utmost privacy & even provide separate access to the fenced back yard, so that your pets can do their business without our pets bothering them.

Our stay was enjoyable. This is one of the best places we have stayed at. The property was very clean and welcoming. In fact, we spent more time at the property resting as a family and enjoying each others presence than exploring the island.The property was pet friendly. The garden area was a good place to sit and relax with our small dogs.

I enjoyed my stay here. Although I never received the check in information or house rules, the property was clean and balcony was nice. One of the bathrooms had a slow shower drain and they could use more dish towels in the kitchen for those who like to cook. Overall, I’d come back if I was in SPI again.

This is a fantastic place for families and a fun time. We visited from Colorado but are Texas transplants. We would definitely rent this unit again. My family really loved our time in SPI. Thank you to the host. We will be back.

Wonderful Experience

We were a large crew with 4 kids and had a great stay. We had a private entrance and access to the entire upstairs and back yard. A spacious balcony and living area with a well stocked kitchen. The host was very easy to contact and quick to respond. Very accommodating :) Thank you for helping make our trip to South Padre one to remember!

Great getaway weekend on the island!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on SPI! The house was nice, and the balcony was a lovely spot to hang out and cook on the grill. Getting to the beach was a short 5-minute drive. I definitely would not walk there. It would have been nice to have a washer and dryer, which this property does not have. The host was super easy to communicate with. I recommend this VRBO property!

Our go to rental when visiting SPI!

2nd stay at this property. It was just as great as the first time. Great location on quiet street that is a 15 min walk or short drive to two beach access points - one with parking, one without. Spacious setup. We had 2 adults, 2 elementay age kids, and 2 dogs - 55 and 71 lbs and didn't feel cramped or packed like sardines. Nice outside balcony with seating. Provide everything, including beach accessories: chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and some toys. We recommend booking for your SPI stay!

Lovely!

The Hofmeisters were beyond accommodating and courteous hosts. We also never even would have known they were inhabiting the other unit in the house if it wasn’t prior knowledge. The back yard was beautiful and the patio was fun to sit on and listen to all the birds. We really appreciated being able to rent with 3 dogs. It’s so hard to find places where that is allowed. We enjoyed the photo puzzles on one of the rainy days too. Would absolutely recommend!

Chas and his family are good people. Was a little nervous about having them downstairs from us especially with a mouthy beagle and an autistic son that screams at times. He constantly assured us that it was no problem. I even saw him and hisnfamily a few times in passing and they were nothing but polite. Now for the review. The check in and check out was easy and painless. Communication with Chas was awesome. He was fast to reply and always upbeat. The location was great. Just far enough away from everything, but close enough at the same time. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue. There multiple items were dirt upon arrival. The toaster oven in the kitchen, coffee maker, dirt and dog hair under the furniture, couch cushions, etc. There was also cockroaches that were seen scampering around outside. I understamd they they take care of this themselves, and it shows, but it was still a great place to stay and would stay again if we come down to SPI. Thanks Chas and family for a great visit.

The Bahama Beach Lodge had everything we needed and wanted, with plenty of space for everyone in our large family to feel comfortable, including our cat! The beds and sofas were comfortable, the spaces were clean, and we liked the large balcony with all the greenery around. With its close proximity to everything, including the public beach access points, we will certainly consider a stay here again if we return to SPI!
