"We really enjoy the old schoolhouse turned into apartments. The price is very reasonable. We love how they tried to keep as much of the original structure as possible, the old doors and flooring. It is a clean and well kept property. The owners are very accommodating and have a quick response time, when I asked about staying another night. "

"The apartment was very cute and stylish. A great repurpose of an industrial building. We enjoyed being in downtown Houghton and being able to walk to restaurants, stores and bars. Our car was able to be parked in a parking lot across the street from the apartment so it was easy to get out of town to explore the Keweenaw. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Houghton."

"This rental apartment was perfect. My college friend and I came up for our first snowmobile trip of the year This place is literally right on the atv/snowmobile trail. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property owner, Vernon, responded within minutes to all questions. "Didn’t seem like a bad area but all of the business buildings are not businesses anymore. The property is in an old building, which is unique and the idea is great. The problem is that the unit smells very strongly of old building. I felt like it was not clean because of the smell. Cool idea but I would not stay again"

"This place was very nice, everything you might need. I think it had central A/C, but there was also a window unit in the bedroom. It is a little annoying to have to type in two codes to exit and enter and it is near 41 so there is road noise and walking to Calumet is a little far. So this isn't super rustic or anything, but you can walk across the street to a gas station market so that is convenient."

"The outside of the building doesn’t represent how the place is on the inside. It’s a nice clean and well taken care of apartment that was comfy to stay in. Relatively quiet just noisy cars driving by at night. Very nice place to stay and a not very far from Houghton so it’s definitely a place I’d revisit."

"This place was wonderful, highly recommended. I ended up staying just over a week and needed to extend for a few days. Luckily it was available and the owner was really responsive and helpful.
