The COVID-19 outbreak may have changed the way we travel, but it hasn't shut down our love of exploring. Here are some tips on how to deal with travel's new challenges:

• Know if any restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you book.
• When you pass through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be required to briefly lower it to confirm your identity. Anyone refusing to wear a face mask may be denied entry or boarding.
• Rather than handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, place it directly on the reader yourself. When that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on baggage. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to remove it from your bag at the X-ray machine for screening.
• Empty your personal items from your pockets, such as your small change and phone, and place them in your carry-on rather than into bins. This will minimize handling during screening.
• Separate any food you have for X-ray scanning. Food items often trigger the alarm. Putting them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to touch and inspect your belongings.
