"Stayed with 10 friends with average age of 60. Photos of house interior on Vrbo are generally accurate - those on the website for Wheathill show different furniture and soft furnishings. Overall1930s shabby chic vibe is very nice and as expected. Good location in rural residential area10 mins walk to nearest shop and a pub. "The hotel and room we stayed in were immaculate. The room had everything we needed and was lovely and cool on a scorching 33 degree day, which was a welcome relief. The restaurant and bar were lovely and welcoming, staff welcoming and very friendly with a good choice of food and drink on offer. All of the staff we encountered around the hotel were lovely. Breakfast was a little chaotic as there is not a lot of space to move around each other and I think we went down at busy time but the food was hot and fresh and very tasty. There was a great selection of hot and cold options, drink options and everything looked fresh and well presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope that we get to revisit again. An easy 5 stars from us."
