Adelphi Hotel

Adelphi Hotel

8/10 Good
"Thank God my wife wasn’t with me. We would have had to change hotels. Since it was my son and I, we stayed. Here is a short list of the issues: no air conditioning, water stains on the ceiling and the floor, dirty shower curtain that clings to your body, no housekeeping or fresh towels, it smelled of mothballs and rotting fruit. The only redeeming things were the International BeatleWeek festivities. The event was well-run and a ton of fun."

Waterfront Southport Hotel

Waterfront Southport Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"The waterfront is a man made lake and not the sea. The sea was a long way off in the distance over estuary sand. Beach is a car ride away. So not a beach holiday place. Posher, with pleasant promenade on the lakeside and also seafront overlooking very long promenade - currently closed. FantasticVictorian street with boulevard, canopied independent shops, statues and old buildings. Hotel is central and resort is lovely."

Scarisbrick Hotel

Scarisbrick Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"I've put 5 stars for everything because despite the bad reviews i saw before booking it, for the kids and I on a budget we had a wonderful stay. I love buildings that have a sense of history which is what attracted me to it in the first place. Considering it was booked last minute and for the price i paid we were very well received and we loved the feeling of the buildings vibe, The room was also very clean and we had a great view. Also the kids had a great sleep, The only reason I didn't is because I'm a light sleeper and being the only adult I was on alert 💁‍♀️."

Royal Clifton Hotel

Royal Clifton Hotel

8/10 Good
"The Clifton is an old hotel but has been decorated throughout to give it a clean and modern appearance. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the 1st floor but would have asked for a higher floor to be a better sea view. The furniture was dated but clean and abundant. The bathroom was clean with a powerful shower over the bath. The shower head was loose and needs attention. There is paid parking at the hotel and in front on the promenade road. We did not have any meals at the hotel. The cost of our stay was average. Location was excellent. We would definitely stay at the Royal Clifton Hotel again. John Woolley"
