"This is a really nice independent hotel with a lot of charm. The location is great and the views are wonderful. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. We have stayed twice and will try and stay here every time we visit. If they had a food option on site, this would be amazing, but the town is a short golf cart ride away. Highly recommend for any stay in Southport. "

"The hotel far exceeded our expectations! The property was clean, quiet, and in a really great location. The hotel was just a short drive to grocery stores, a Hobby Lobby, and several restaurants, and only 15 minutes from the beach! The front desk associates, Hunter and Mr. Ted, were always helpful and kind, and quickly answered any questions we had. The breakfast attendants were incredibly sweet and courteous, and always kept the eating area clean and presentable. Overall, we had a refreshing and enjoyable stay, and would love to stay there again during our next visit to Southport, NC!"

"My room was very clean and modern. Breakfast was unexpectedly good with a lot of variety to choose from. And we always appreciate the fresh baked cookies upon check in. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay"

"Our group was mostly in our 70s. We didn't realize that the kitchen/dining was on the 2nd floor. Not convenient for carrying groceries. One bedroom was listed as 2 full or queen beds but didnt mention that 1 of the beds was a trundle only a foot off the floor. Tv room is small only big enough for 3 to 4 people. The house lock was at the back door with a swing blocking the porch entrance. All in all the house is really cute but I would suggest it for younger guests."

"A great location to walk to most places in town. It was a lovely cottage in the back of the owner’s property with lots of privacy. I felt at home and she left a lovely welcome gift in the frig with wine and cheese snack from a local shop. I will definitely be back."

"3rd visit to “Gemma’s Gem” and always a treat. Close to everything and 10 steps to one of the best Italian “joints” (sorry, originally from N.J.) in Southport and Oak Island. Ask for Marquis, if you can get him at Joseph’s. Then close your eyes when he comes to your table, and you will swear Denzel Washington is your server. Marquis is the very best as is Gemma as your host at her beautiful condo."
