"The location is ideal. Walking distance to the restaurant and a short drive to the Ape Caves. The house is quite small. The bedroom on the main floor is very cramped and the deck is so small that you can't walk around the outside table. But it was clean and we were able to check in early. Overall it served its purpose."

"This is a wonderful property for a large groups. We had seven adults and four children. The 3rd floor bedroom was a great place for the kids, they enjoyed the foosball table and the arcade game. The rest of the bedrooms were nicely decorated and very clean and there were plenty of bathrooms to accommodate everyone. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and we appreciated the large dining table. There were baby gates and a pack and play for our toddler. The older kids enjoyed reading the many children’s books available as well as playing with several board games. The White Salmon River was running right behind the house and was delightful to be able to sit and watch, though a bit too high for swimming. We found that the Trout Lake Creek was a better choice for kids. The property was dark enough that we could do some good stargazing. Our host, Michael, was very responsive. We had several questions and he was always prompt in answering."

"This is a great house. The perfect location for access to tons of trails in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The house is extremely comfortable. Eric, the host, is easy to communicate with and is very responsive. This is our second time here. Eric has added some comfortable rockers to the front porch, as well as a hammock. The dogs love the beds that have been left for them as well. Lots of very friendly deer visit daily. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, to save restaurant expense. Overall it’s an excellent place to stay."
