"I have traveled all over the world and this was by far the worst hotel I have ever walked into. The outside of the hotel looks nice, but the photos on the site are very deceptive to what the rooms are actually like. The place needs torn down and severely renovated. Bugs in the bedding and unclean/wet floor. It was so bad that I walked into the room set my stuff down and booked another hotel right away because there was yelling in the hallway and didn’t feel safe. DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE......

"Cons: This is a tired boutique-ish hotel. The suite with hot tub was small (by American suite standards), the suite was dated, the caulking in the bathroom needed redone, the toilet ran, the balcony french doors were in disrepair. Pros: The staff was excellent throughout; pool, spa, sunbathing area, front desk, housekeeping, restuarant, etc. Top notch and is what made the stay enjoyable. The hot tub had good jets, but would timeout within 15 minutes. The balcony offered excellent privacy. The restuarant food was very good. I expected a bigger and newer room for the price, Overall, it was a good experience, just not an excellent one."

"Beautiful hotel with a great beach, stunning view of the castle, great breakfast and the best meal we ate the whole trip was on the rooftop La Lanterna. The people working there couldn’t be nicer and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in a superior double with a perfect view of the beach and it was spacious. I wish I had stayed longer."

"Excellent location by the sea but the beach is 10 minute walk away. The rooms are spacious although could do with a little TLC, the grouting in the bathroom had mold and there were a couple of cracked tiles. The facilites are excellent with 2 pools one which is heated to a very warm level. I don't know if this a new thing in Italy but we had to wear caps whilst in the pool. The hotel sells them for 2.50 euro. Breakfast was a typical continental style but cappuccinos were included. About a 25 minute walk down a pedestrian street to the waterfront restaurants but there were several locally. If you plan to eat out, download "The Fork" app. It saved us about 170 euro over the week."
