Top Spice Mountain Hotel Reviews
Comfort Inn & Suites Montpelier-Berlin
10/10 Excellent
"It was a great hotel, friendly staff good breakfast ,great location"
Field Guide Lodge
8/10 Good
"Overall it was good. We were in the latter suites to the back of the property separated from the main lodge. I didn’t like how I could hear the external door slamming shut from our room and we had a white noise machine going. I was woken up by people coming in at 1:30am. I also booked it for the soaking tub but when we used it the safety drain is so low that we couldn’t really get our bodies fully submerged without it draining. For the price paid for that amenity alone, I was expecting better. It was clean and the staff was nice. Again for the price of the place I was expecting a better breakfast. They did have shuffleboard though and other games I wish I had had more time to enjoy."

"Very nice place, old and needs some updates but appreciated that it was clean. Hot tub and pool was nice. Also no breakfast is served."

The Firehouse
10/10 Excellent
"Hands down the most charming place I've ever stayed! We stayed in the Captain's Quarters. We got to meet the owner in the morning. She was super friendly and authentic. Told us about the place's history as a real firehouse. She'd kept so much of the original character - from stained glass windows to the old switchboard. The hall had the old firefighters' portraits. There were several suites upstairs and a small lounge. Downstairs was a pub, which we sadly arrived too late to eat at, but was all decked out for Halloween. I was impressed with how spotless the place was. I have allergies and will get stuffy if there's a speck of dust, but despite the suite having many soft surfaces, I was symptom-free and slept like the dead. The other guests were visibly just as thrilled with their stay as we were. Each room had different furnishings but the same style. VERY sumptuous colours and textures. Absolutely gorgeous. The only things I found a little odd about the place were the tiny showerhead and the confusing entrance. But other than that, I'd have lived here if I could. We absolutely loved it. Can't recommend it enough."
The Inn at Montpelier
8/10 Good
"Historical manor house that has been converted to a boutique hotel. Some of the room's furnishings and fixtures could be updated and upgraded in quality while keeping to the historical sense. The room and common areas feel a bit basic when the actual building holds a lot of history and character. It wouldn't take much to take this hotel from good to excellent- to start: greater intentionality in selecting period appropriate art and furniture, and creating a lounge space for guests in common areas (with sofas or conversational chairs instead of breakfast tables) would improve the guest experience. Room was clean and the breakfast, though also basic, was good. Excellent location in town with the downtown walkable. Good value for money (as everything is expensive in this part of the world it seems). No amenities to speak of. Parking on site was easy."
Lovely, secluded cabin in Vermont's "Land of Lakes and Ponds"
10/10 Excellent
"Great property. Secluded cabin next to a babbling brook in a lovely wooded setting away from the main road. Everything was in great condition. Beds were comfortable. Would stay here again."
