Overnight stay at Split
Overall nice accommodations but quite a hike to the town. Also both the water heater and refrigerator were turned off on our arrival. Staff very nice. Very good breakfast.

Overall a great place to stay. The breakfast was good, the room had amenities higher than my expectations and the staff were friendly. However bear in mind that it is quite a walk from Split centre and in an industrial area. Also you can’t escape the smell of smoke throughout the hotel.

We had a great stay, clean, staff was nice, breakfast was convenient. There was some construction going on which woke us up in the morning. But otherwise I would recommend and stay again if needed

Spacious, clean and modern
Modern spacious apartment with free breajfast and parking included. We stayed during the off season so it was a third of the normal price so very good value for a family of 5

Happy to Stay again
A nice hotel, friendly check in. A nice bar down stairs. A nice room, but I did find the mattress too soft, one of those memory foam ones (just my preference for a firmer mattress). I would normally walk every where and it is walkable to the centre, however I'm currently recovering from a broken ankle (everything booked before accident), and found Uber very cheap and useful. I would be happy to stay here again.

Nice B&B in quiet local neighbourhood
Huge clean room. The breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold food. The location is in a local quiet neighbourhood but a long distance from harbour and restaurants

Bb residence. Average, not anything special
Hotel underground parking is payable (says free on the site) and free parking on street is either very busy or unwelcome by the neighbours. Hotel and breakfast were satisfactory and the bed very comfortable. Walk to town is along a busy road, not so nice. I think this hotel is overpriced and doesn’t deserve 4 stars. 3 stars more appropriate.

Rooms spacious but staff clueless
The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from centre of town. The area looks run down but feels safe and convenience stores ab restaurants are near by. It's about a 60 kuna cab ride to town. The room is biggish modern with a large balcony. Over all its pretty good. The worst is th e hotel reception is also the bar person so getting information out of them is slow and they are not interested in helping you

Fantastic Staff and Hotel
We stayed at BB Residence for two weeks and used it as a base to tour Southern Croatia. The staff were truly excellent - we cannot thank Iva and Mario enough for making our holiday so enjoyable! The hotel is in a residential area but only 5-10 minutes from central Split by car. It was also easy to access the main highways north and south from this location. Breakfast was simple but all items for the continental breakfast were fresh and plentiful. We would recommend this Hotel for couples and would suggest hiring a car (which the hotel can arrange locally).

Nice hotel, but a fairly long walk to old town. There was a little playground beside the hotel coffee shop, so it would be good for families with young children. There is not much around the hotel except small businesses. We did find a nice little restaurant with the help of some locals where we ate lunch. Delicious food, but without directions we would never have found it. Quite small and almost exclusively local clientele so not sure if it is open for dinner. The hotel staff did not seem to know about it.

This place is far from the central area, around 25 mins walking. The building is tucked away and a bit out of the way to walk to, otherwise the place is well renovated and has a great breakfast, one of the best breakfast i have had at a bed and breakfast place. Very clean and modern room too.

Very clean and relaxing, the lady that checked us in was very nice and gave the vibe she wanted to do everything she could to make it a lovely stay. Did ask a question to a guy later in the day at reception about what some suggestions to see and where to go in split and felt he was quite rude and disinterested but that would be the only negative on a nice stay.

Immaculate hotel with helpful, welcoming staff
This is a lovely hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious with a nice bathroom with good toiletries. The staff were helpful and breakfast was delicious - lots of variety in a buffet style. It is in a residential area about 20 minutes walk (stroll) to the old town/Diocletian palace but there are also plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants close by if you prefer.

A little pricey but very nice
This place was very clean and stylish. The lady at reception when we checked in was simply wonderful and helped us in every way. Since we were leaving early the next morning and would miss the included breakfast, she personally brought a bowl of fruit and bottle of water to our room.

Bad Experience Considering It's a 4 Star Hotel
The hotel is unmanned with no staff to assist guests. It's located far from the city centre and very inconvenient since even taxis are difficult to get. Also the hotel doesn't refund unused room nights though its booked under a refundable policy. Absolutely unprofessional

Visit to Split
I visited Split to attend a conference. The conference was held at Blu Radisson but I decided to stay in BB residence because the cost is lower and the review recommended this place. Indeed it was an excellent choice. My room was superb, very clean and very safe. The staff was excellent in particular Iva and Mario were very kind to help me whenever I asked for help. The breakfast was very good and the hotel location is amongst residential area. I did walk to downtown from my hotel and it took me 22 minutes and could be done very easily. I even walked to the Blu Radisson hotel but it took me 35 minutes. However I strongly recommend this hotel and thank you again to Iva and Mario for their help and their assistance. Highly recommended

Perfect Location
A great location, close enough to the center to enjoy Split, but far enough away to allow you to feel like you are seeing the real city. Great, friendly staff and a pleasure to enjoy a real Split neighborhood.

Nicely kept apartments which function as a hotel
Enjoyed staying here in August. This is a hotel that is based around a set of small, nicely renovated apartments. It is a little out of the city centre, and you are probably best advised to get a taxi if you're arriving from the ferry and/or airport shuttle as it is down a side street that is not obvious from the main road. Most taxi drivers know it by the name 'biberien' as well (an previous name perhaps?). Staff are very helpful. Breakfast (included) is excellent. There is a kitchen in the apartment, but not much by way of cutlery or condiments so perhaps not useful for a short stay. Split is not short of accommodation by any means - even in high summer - but this is a good one.

Excellent location, value and stay!
As we approached the neighbourhood, I was skeptical... it's mainly a residential neighbourhood and I couldn't imagine a hotel being nestled in amongst the homes. After arriving, we realized it was Split's best kept secret. Diocletian's Palace is within easy walking distance - about 20 minutes - and being in a residential area it was quiet and peaceful. The hotel staff were, I have to say, the best I've experienced anywhere in the world. They were warm, friendly and bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. EVERYTHING! They are the reason we will return.

Great hotel; wish it was closer to attractions
The BB Residence is a very modern, clean, comfortable place. The woman who works the front desk was very friendly and helpful, assisting me with arranging a day trip I had planned and also reserving a taxi to arrive at 5am to take me to the airport. Breakfast was a really nice assortment of fresh foods. The only issue I had was that the hotel is located about 30-40 minutes walk from most of what you want to see and do in Split. In hot weather it's a long walk (partly uphill on the way back), or a 10 euro cab ride. If you're a business traveler or you have a car that won't matter, but as a tourist, if I returned to Split I would stay in a more central location to make it easier to go back to the room during the day to drop things off or rest.
