The Bourbon Lodge was a great location for many of the distilleries. Even though it’s out in the country that’s what we liked about it. Very nice, private and very comfortable.

Great spot!
There were six, three couples, that came in for Derby weekend. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating up to and including the check in process. The house was very clean and all the beds were super comfortable. We all slept great! Everything we needed was right there plus amazing sunrises and sunsets from the porch. We will definitely be back!

Blue Grass, Bourbon, and Bonding
We enjoyed a 5-night stay at the Bourbon Lodge and are already considering when we might return. The location of the lodge offered everything we needed to slow down to enjoy the simple things in life. We wanted to tour bourbon distilleries in the area and the lodge provided an ideal opportunity for that. If you are not familiar with the Bourbon Trail and other distilleries in the area, it is helpful to know the distilleries are spread out, so a bit of driving is required. However, at least a handful of distilleries are less than 30 minutes from the lodge and, if willing to drive about an hour, many others are within reach. Plus, the routes took us through beautiful countryside, so the driving passed quickly. Clean, thoughtfully decorated, and well organized, the lodge made us feel completely at home. The beds and bedding were comfortable, towels were quality, and the kitchen was fully stocked. We enjoyed the coffee bar, the bourbon bar, as well as the grill. To note, they provide an extra propane tank in case the first one runs out....it's the little things! Highlights of the property: location, wraparound porch, fire pit, and unbelievable sunsets. Located on a working farm, the drive (or walks) down the lane from the main road offer great views of farm life and nature. While we loved the sunset and blue skies, it rained one evening during our stay and the sound of the rain on the roof was natural melatonin. Relaxation, beauty of nature, comfort, rustic luxury.

Guys Bourbon Getaway
Overall the property was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Kentucky. We only had a couple of small issues that were easy fixes. Location and size were exactly what we needed to accommodate 4 grown men. Property served all of our needs as far as location to our travel spots. Will definitely be on our list for more stays while traveling to Kentucky.

Bourbon getaway
Fantastic and peaceful property. I was a little nervous going down the long driveway to the cabin but once we reached it, it was worth it. host was fantastic communicating with us. Kids loved ping-pong. We enjoyed a night by the fire pit outside. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting bardstown/distilleries.

I totally understand how you can second-guess yourself driving down the driveway. Luckily, it is exactly 1 mile from the main road but you do have to trust note. Lovely way to spend Christmas
Andy was extremely responsive and caring in making sure we were taken care of. He and his wife took special care to make sure our family had a wonderful Christmas; even setting up a beautiful tree! We look forward to going back to enjoy the place in not sub zero weather ha ha!

So happy you enjoyed the property. You’re right, the sunsets are amazing! It’s rural setting is definitely part of its charm. 25 minutes from Bardstown area distilleries and Wilderness Trail and 7 miles off Bluegrass Pkwy gives access to the entire Bourbon Trail within an hours drive.

This was the perfect base camp for a guys trip to the Bourbon Trail. Andy the property manager was quickly responsive to any questions. Just wish we could have spent longer there!

Little country getaway with all home needs
Loved the beautiful sunrises and sunsets!!!! Home had everything you could possibly think of! Didn't do walking trials and regret not finding then until after we left. Had a lovely bonfire one evening and great location for local bourbon trials only 20 to 35 minutes away! Very clean and very detailed on kitchen needs and decor throughout the cabin. Each side of the porch had different rocking chairs to sit and drink your coffee on. We only used 3 sides though lol. Cows and bulls are friendly. Cast just stares at you from a distance. Sad for cat lovers. Dog howled and barked all night long. But you feel safe at the cabin. Would come back again and do the walking trails and sauna for sure!

Thank you for the nice review. I have not heard about dogs barking ever. I am staying there personally next week and will address this if needed, likely a one off cause the only dog on the 500 acre farm that surrounds ours is perfect and quiet.

Lovely large remote lodge
Very nice lodge with plenty of room for 6! Fire pit great with wood provided! Rather remote but we managed to find our way to Bardstown and Louisville!

Amazing property
Everything about this property blew away our expectations. The house itself was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful and quiet. I would highly recommend sitting around the fire pit at sunset with a good bottle of bourbon. Can’t beat it!

Incredible stay at The Bourbon Lodge
It was a unanimous decision amongst all four of my family members to give a five star review to The Bourbon Lodge. The house itself is extremely cozy and is the definition of relaxing. The surrounding property is beautiful. We enjoyed walking the area around the home and visiting the nearby cows, goats, and sheep. The property owner was very responsive and accommodating. The home is well appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable get away. We were all sad to leave and are already trying to decide when we can visit again.

A Beautiful Bourbon Trail Getaway
We had an awesome time staying at the bourbon lodge. The property and the cabin were exactly what were were looking for. Very charming, relaxing, and well equipped for our party of 8. The large dining room table was perfect for steak dinners and we enjoyed conversation and bourbon around the wood burning stove. I would definitely recommend this property.

Thank you for a wonderful farmstead experience. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their visits with the cows and goats. They were lucky enough to be around for the post-birthing of three new born kids! The house itself was very comfortable, exactly as per description

This property offered plenty of room, privacy and natural beauty of the surrounding KY countryside. Loved the decor, the ease of use and the proximity to many attractions nearby. The property manager was always easy to access and provided prompt and timely responses to all inquiries.
