"The hotel is undergoing a major refurbashing so two of the floors were completely under construction, so to speak. We had a newly renovated room. Positives include free parking and a nice breakfast. The room we had was also of a good size, with a nice couch, and a small separate area with a microwave, simple coffee maker, and a nice sink with water. There was also a writing desk and enough outlets for charging. Also the staff were all extremely professional and friendly. Finally the hotel is within easy walking distance of a number of stores and restaurants, as well as close to the entrance to Interstate 93. The only negatives were the small space in the separate shower/toilet area. The shower was a nice size but there was so little room between the door and the toilet that you had to carefull step aside to close the door and if you were not careful you would bump into the shower wall and that makes a noise -- not great in the middle of the night. Also, there as not coffee table in front of sofa -- possible there is something on order as there was a carpet there. Finally, the layout only left room for a pretty small closet, although it was plenty big for our short stay. I would have given it 4.5 stars but that is not an option."

"I was very pleased with the hotel, and would happily stay again. I liked that they made very sure on their website that we’d know this was a small room before booking. And it was very affordable for this time of year! My room was quite well laid out, with quality materials and attention to leaving a low environmental impact. The overall visual design theme to the hotel wasn’t my very favorite, but it’s lovely, well done, and surely many other peoples’ favorite. Staff was great. I don’t mean 4 stars as a negative score. For me, 5 stars is “jaw-dropping”, 4 stars means that everything was very very good."

"The room was clean and staff was very friendly! Huge parking lot and great location. It was not close to downtown but was close to Harvard and great restaurants! My only critique is that there was no accessible outlets next to the bed and could not charge my phone on the nightstand. A small, but annoying thing. Food was great, and the hotel had a great ambience."

"Newly refurbished historic property very well done comfortable rooms with fireplace walking distance to everything you need historic sites food transportation close to Harvard Square and nice museums. Nice breakfast is included. Area felt very safe for solo travelers I will stay again on my next visit to this area. Staff was very accommodating."

"Our stay was very pleasant. We’ve stayed at a Cambria hotel in CT twice before. The valet and front desk attendants were kind and professional. They even dropped off a small gift basket when we shared why we were visiting. Such a nice surprise. The room was clean and modernly designed. There was a nice restaurant attached and the area is very walkable. We did not use the gym or have breakfast, so I can’t comment on those."
