We absolutely loved the Purple Shark! The views are breathtaking, it was clean and well maintained. The host was very easy to communicate with and very quick to respond. There were beach chairs and umbrellas which was great. My only suggestion is supplying more than two beach towels. Great location and we will definitely rent again.

Very modern, attractive multi level home right on the ocean; rooftop allowed for wonderful sunrise and sunset views. Updated kitchen with great appliances. Less than 3 miles from downtown St. Augustine. Two great restaurants to try; Fishcamp and Caps.

Spacious, Unique, and great location

Lots of room in this multi-level purple house, interesting glass and other decorations. Clean, good beds, plenty of towels and linens. Expansive collection of coffee makers. . And of course the beach is steps away. Host responsive. Bring own bath soap.

Place was amazing. Has a great time. Even though nice, the VRBO pictures and descriptions don’t do it justice. Place is super cool and so relaxed right on beach. Perfect getaway for our family with teens.

Exceeded expectations

House was very clean and exceeded my expectations. The house is beautiful and well stocked with appliances and entertainment to keep the family happy. Short walk to the beach and a very laid back beach environment makes for a very relaxing stay. The host Luann was also very quick to reply to questions/concerns and made our stay stress free and enjoyable. Plan to stay here again very soon.

Vilano beach

Nice stay on beach to see sunrise and felt out of way of crazy tourist stuff in historic downtown St. Augustine but close enough over bridge to go do the tourist stuff. Many stairs for 4 levels so if you’re ok with that you’re good. With that and all the glass decor maybe not the best for little kids. Otherwise nice and modern. Enjoyed stay.

Amazing Place to Stay

You can’t beat this property. The location is amazing and the accommodations are high end. We enjoyed lounging on the decks with the amazing views. You wake up to the most beautiful sunrise. It’s exactly as shown and worth every penny. We put a Yukon XL truck in the garage and it fit.

Purple Shark rules!

Unbelievable decor in this beachfront beauty! The sunrises are spectacular. The beach is perfect. The house is spacious with four levels and lots of stairs. There are actually four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Everything works well, except the side door lock was finicky. The garage entry was easy. We did buy our own bar soap and coffee. Will definitely rent here again.

Ridiculously amazing!!!!

You won’t believe how amazing this place is until you see it for yourself! The pictures don’t do it justice. The location is perfect if you want to be near Vilano. The beds are comfy. The showers are great. The decor is beautiful. There are views in every room. The kitchen is well stocked as well as beach chairs. We can’t wait to go back. Pure heaven!

Hallmark Christmas family getaway

The “Purple Shark” is THE best rental property I’ve ever stayed in - hands down! This was my second stay at the beach house. The first was a girls trip and the latest was a three generation family trip. The house was perfect for both! The views, access to the beach and downtown are unbeatable. The house is immaculate and well equipped. We just got home today and are already ready to book our next trip!

This is an amazing house. The host was on the ball with her service. I got lots of exercise up and down 2-3 flights off stairs. My BIL was able to use the elevator d/t hip replacement 4 weeks ago. The home was stocked well in the kitchen to cook along with other needs through the home. We used all 4 bedrooms. The smallest BR sheets did not fit the bed well. They kept coming off during sleep. The roll up shade also did not work. A suggestion we have is not to have delicate glass chandeliers in the bathrooms and shower in the upstairs 2 onsuites. The beds were very comfortable. The views of the water, beach, & sun rises were awesome. Walking the beach every morning and night was such a joy and pleasure. I highly recommend staying at the Purple Shark. We would stay again when/if we come to the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your home.

Amazing beach property

We absolutely enjoyed our stay @ the purple shark! We arrived during a wind storm with 50mph plus winds being right on the beach was pretty wild we went inside really couldn’t hear or feel the wind at all , the purple shark is sound property!Absolutely no issues with house We found are way around the house and was blown away awesome set up and user friendly We spent almost week there and every day was special waking up to the sounds of the ocean and sunrises ,walks on the beach and sunsets on the roof deck over looking St Augustine amazing!!! Purple shark stay

My wife and I found this house to be a very beautiful, upscale, well decorated home, with a very comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Fireplaces are a little deceiving because you have to provide your own ethanol gas in order to use them. Also, there is no jetted tub as advertised. We stayed seven nights at an all inclusive cost of 597 per night and the toilet paper provided is what you would find at a roadside rest stop, at best. No paper towels or Kleenex are provided. So bring your own quality toilet paper, paper towels, and Kleenex to make your stay more pleasurable.

Beautiful Oceanfront Home Perfect or Family

Clean, spacious rooms, beautifully decorated, complete with everything you could possibly need. We flew in to Jacksonville from out of State. This lovely home was perfect for a weeks stay. It was completely stocked with everything required to fix any meal, with towels for showers and beach, with several beach chairs, an umbrella and even a nice portable awning you can set up on the beach. There were also two paddle boards you could use in the ocean. The chairs and tables on the decks were in great condition. We had room to park our car in the garage. The elevator was very useful to bring up groceries or suitcases. The AC worked perfectly. We used the washer and dryer to wash a load of laundry. Louan was always quick to answer any questions and does a fantastic job of managing this wonderful home.

We are in Jacksonville and we go to Vilano Three or four times a year this was one of the nicest stays we’ve had we used the elevator to move our belongings the different levels in the home made it very convenient. Everything was new and beautiful we booked another stay in July.

Best vacation in a long time!

This property is amazing, so much more to it than the pictures depict. So close to stores and to downtown. We had an infant with us but if she was walking it might not have been as great as there is a lot for a toddler to get into. The beds were fantastic, but the master bedroom gets light with sunrise so if you want to sleep in past sunrise, bring a sleep mask. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the rooftop was unforgettable. And of course, being beach front made the commute to the beach and back to the house a breeze! Definitely would recommend this house! Oh, and there is a fourth bedroom.
