Villa 1898 also nicknamed "Ghost” is a gorgeous newly renovated home located in one of the very best locations within the historic downtown district of St. Augustine. Its location on "Saint Andrews Court" is a hidden gem/hideaway, still a well kept secret, in the heart of downtown within the historic oldest city gates… impeccably kept, private, yet in the heart and walking distance to all that the oldest city has to offer.

The 1898 Villa “Ghost” has the original architectural details, quality and classic workmanship from the period in which it was built. No expense was spared in renovating the interior which boasts a modern yet timeless fashion, even the art work and furnishings were selected with that early 1900s era in mind."

Villa 1898 “Ghost” is definitely catered to the discerning guest and is enhanced by owner’s attention to detail when equipping the home. You will notice subtleties such as noise makers and dimmable night lights throughout, high end furnishings, outdoor floor fans to make outdoor seating more enjoyable, natural essential oils have been used for mosquito repellant outdoors, umbrellas available for guests who love walking in the rain as much as the owner does, landscaping is meticulous… owner keeps the paint consistently retouched, and even a nite light exterior installation to add to the charm in the evenings… this home is a secret treasure for guests to enjoy!

Great location

Beautifully decorated and elegant. Great location for exploring old town on foot. As the owner noted, the parking is a tight squeeze, but what a value to park there. Comfortable and convenient- would stay there again and highly recommend!

Lovely and Perfect Location!

This is a charming and well-appointed home which is quiet in the evenings despite being a stone's throw from Hypolita Street. Comfortable and clean, park your car and walk to everything. Would definitely stay again.

Had a wonderful time staying at this cozy house located perfectly in downtown St Augustine. You are literally a block away from St George street but far enough away to have a peaceful sleep and stay, would highly recommend for families and friends.

Walk to everything we wanted to see. Many restaurants no more than 15 minute walk. Owner is great. Walk to the fort, Flagler and Lightener museums and much more. Already planning our return trip for next year

Perfect location

The house was very clean and comfortable. The location to the historic district was perfect since driving and parking can be difficult. The only difficulty we had was the driveway was very tight to get into with a minivan.

Beautiful house in a great location. House located on a safe and quiet small end road. Was able to walk everywhere downtown and did not need to use our car even once. Which was great because as others have said, parking a larger vehicle can be tricky. Luckily the neighbor across from the property is very friendly and even assisted us in backing out. Appreciate the great communication from the owner’s and they always responded promptly.

Ghost House Adventure

‘Ghost House’ exceeded our expectations!The house has been beautifully restored, with amazing attention to detail. We loved hanging out on the front porch. The house is close to the historic district, restaurants and art galleries. We pulled into the carport and didn’t drive again until we left for home. We Will definitely stay here again, if we ever get to return to St. Augustine. Also, the owners are so kind and attentive. They checked on us, gave restaurant and activity recommendations. Review of Our Stay at Ghost Our stay at Ghost was absolutely perfect! The house exceeded our expectations—it’s much bigger than it looks in the photos, impeccably clean, and every detail has been thoughtfully designed with high-end touches. No expense was spared, and it truly felt like a luxury getaway. We brought our teens for a little trip before they head off to college, and it was such a memorable experience for all of us. The space was comfortable, inviting, and ideal for creating lasting family memories. We loved it so much that we’re already planning to come back. Highly recommend!

Walk to Everything!

Crisp and clean, right in the heart of everything. Bedding was very clean. Very much as represented. Loved sitting in screen room for coffee and wine in the evening,much needed as mosquitos were in the lush gardens. Would definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic!

This cute house is in the absolute perfect location to walk around and adventure all of downtown. The property manager is extremely lovely and very communicative to make sure your stay is perfect. Only heads up is in bedroom does not have a door but it really does not matter when its such a perfect place! Highly recommend!

Hidden Gem in the heart of the historic district!

We stayed in this, absolutely beautiful property for our New Year’s weekend. We couldn’t be happier! Our host was very responsive to questions and had tons of suggestions on places to eat, and things to do. This beautiful home is in walking distance to pretty much everything! Historic St Augustine

The inside of the home was wonderful, clean, and elegant. The parking is extremely difficult if you have anything over a mid size SUV. Parking area will fit one vehicle at most and is nearly impossible to get out of… neighbor across the street made a rude comment to my wife and I as we were walking down the alley. Highly recommend avoiding her at all cost.

Charming historic home right in the middle of historic district

A very charming and tastefully updated 2 story home right in the heart of the historic district of St Augustine. A two minute walk to the action of St George’s Street. The bathrooms and kitchen are nicely updated yet maintain a classic and historic feel. Two porches facing the street are a nice bonus. It’s hard not to think about what life was like there 100 years ago. Since it’s not a thru street there is zero traffic here unlike every other street in town. Stayed for the holiday Nights of Lights celebrations - and while the town was extremely busy the proximity to restaurants/shopping and back to the house, if need be, was super quick and easy. Would recommend for a family wanting to explore the great city of St Aug from a convenient home base.

Amazing home….fantastic location!

Wow, wow, WOW! If you want to take an already fun, romantic city and amplify it, stay here!!! Location: Perfect….walkable (and we brought bikes so bike able) to everything! Down an ally you wouldn’t know was there, nestled amoung other historic houses….we loved it! House: Impeccable! The care these owners have given this 1898 home is incredible. It is the perfect mix of modern while still keeping its historic value and features. Exceptionally clean, larger than expected and very comfortable. Any small issue was handled quickly and with the passion of someone who truly loves their home. BOOK IT!!! You won’t regret it!
