🐟 Welcome to Fishin’ Tradition — Your Waterfront Escape
Fishin’ Tradition is truly a one-of-a-kind waterfront home, with a rare bonus feature that could be a game-changer for the boaters and fishermen in your group -- your own private boat launch, right in the backyard.
Bring the boat, jet ski, kayak, paddleboard, canoe, or tubes and enjoy effortless access to the bay, just steps away. Come and go as you please, tie up between adventures, and leave your boat in the water overnight if you’d like. This is coastal living done right.
Located on a deep-water canal on the west end of the island at 788 West Bayshore Drive, this home is:
Minutes from Sikes Cut and the island bridge — two local honey holes!
Just 8 short blocks to town
An easy 5-minute walk to the beach
🏡 Space for Everyone (and everything!)
This spacious home offers four private master suites, each with its own full bathroom, shower and private access, all on the first flight:
3 King bedrooms
1 Bunk room with four twin beds
Plus a queen sleeper sofa upstairs
5 Bathrooms
Every bedroom opens to a deck overlooking either the bay and canal or the sparkling pool below — perfect for morning coffee or evening sunsets. The home includes FREE WiFi, cable, and Roku Smart TVs in every bedroom, as well as the living room.
🍽️ Gather, Relax & Make Memories
The open-concept top floor features a fully stocked kitchen and relaxing living area — ideal for gathering, sharing meals, and swapping fish stories. Natural light fills the space, and dolphin and manatee are often seen frolicking in the canal below. Enjoy the morning sunrise peeking over the horizon from one balcony, and watch the sunset paint the sky from another.
Keyless entry on the first landing makes arrival easy — no keys to juggle, even for the kids.
The property is very safe, surrounded by nature on every side, with a lot between the home and the closest (part-time) local resident.
⚓ Outdoor Living at Its Best
Outside you’ll enjoy:
More privacy than typical island properties
A dock spanning the length of the property
Private boat ramp on deep water canal
Enough parking for two RVs, boat trailers, a bounce house and a small circus act
Covered parking under the house to accommodate 3 large SUV's
Two large picnic tables on the covered breezeway
Fish-cleaning table on the dock, with two sinks and water faucet with hose
Gas grill and charcoal grill
Plenty of space to relax, grill, and enjoy island time
Lots of open space around the property for fur babies to play catch and run like the wind, away from crowds, as free as they'll ever be... and with limited traffic.
🌴 Locally Owned. Deeply Rooted.
Fishin’ Tradition is owned by a local mother-daughter duo whose family roots on St. George Island date back to the 1800's, with seven generations born and raised right here. Hosting guests has been a family tradition for decades, and we’re excited to continue it with this special home.
Whether you’re here to fish, boat, beach, or simply slow down and soak in the island vibe, we’re honored to host you.
🎣 Book your memories at Fishin’ Tradition — where the fish bite, the stories flow, and the traditions continue.
