"Elke and Wout are lovely. They are generous, kind, and sensitive hosts. Their home is beautiful. "We stayed at the Residence Inn for 8 nights. We had a king size bed that was the perfect firmness. Aitana, front desk receptionist, helped secure a stovetop for our room & was extremely helpful during our stay. I had VIP access and received a nice small bottle of medium sweet white wine. It was delicious. On my birthday, we returned from Ghent to find balloons on the bed and a lovely card & bottle of wine! There is a bus across the street that takes you to Ghent train station where you can walk or take trams to the centrum. Ghent is my favorite city in Belgium! If you have a car, Brugge is not that far. We scored tickets to a Brugge Club match. Nearby the hotel is an Albert Heijn supermarket where we purchased food & beverages. There is also a futbol stadium nearby. Great stay! Outside of the city but super convenient to highways & transportation."
