Good stay! The rooms were already warm when we arrived. The bathrooms are small, but no smaller than small discount chains with colored roofs.

Kara the manager helped us pick the most wonderful room with a view of the beautiful private beach. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Perfect location to experience all the best of the Upper Peninsula.

A quiet old cottage-like room.. best views of the lake. No complaints. I was comfy and cozy, that's all I needed. The owner let me know quirks about the TV, whatever else, and was very down to earth and friendly. I met some nice fellow guests and their dogs and had a great week. Beautiful little beach and fire pit, perfect base location to jump up to Whitefish, Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon, or run up the road a little to grab a ferry to Mackinac Island. Fantastic stay and I'll be back!

Kara is a fantastic manager helping us select the perfect room to view the sunrise, offering dining suggestions and helping us purchase a discounted ferry ticket for our trip to Mackinac Island. We were so pleased we booked a second night.

The property had an amazing view from our room. They also had a bon fire and cornhole boards. We didn't like that it was outdated and the step into the room was quite high.

Our room was nice and clean, the bed was really comfy, I think we had 5 or 6 nice pillows plus a pillow roll! The bathroom was a bit meh, but we aren't staying in the bathroom now are we. We reserved an end unit so we could see the sun rise over the lake from our window, pretty cool. They have a fire pit and wood ready for a bon-fire, we were just too tired to fire one up, but we could have!! Yes we would stay again!!

What a Gem!
Oh My gosh! What a gem of a sweet little motor inn right on the shore of Lake Huron! Comfy bed, amazing views and responsive hostess. Don’t spoil the adventure staying at a big commercial hotel. Take a breath and enjoy the experience! Love it and hope to return someday!

Room 19 was small but adequate in size. It has a spectacular picture window (~5’ x 4’) that looks directly out at the lake. Hot water in the shower was little more than a trickle. Free parking

No frills, clean & Comfy.
Great stay, clean & comfy. This is very much a no-frills motel. But it is a great, quiet, cheap place... right on the water. We enjoyed the small beach and the fire pit.

Great Gem!!!!
Great little motel. Not many amenities but hey it's a family run motel, not a chain hotel. View is amazing. Firepit next to water is a great add. Ice machine broke so go spend the $2 and get yourself a bag of ice. Please keep this motel going as yet another chain is being built next to it. About a mile away from Mackinac Island dock. Joses Cantina for dinner and Java Joes for breakfast. Will always go back to this motel when up that way.

We booked this because of the rate and the convenience to the ferry line. It does have a nice tiny beach where you can sit at the end of the day. But the property is very old, bathroom was beyond tiny, no ice machine, no one cleaned during out stay, meaning there was sand on the floor the entire time. Worst, on Saturday night a group of bikers stood right outside the room and used their Big Boy Voices to laugh and hoot it up from about 1:30 to 3:00 am.

You are correct when you say our property is an older motel, our bathrooms are small and we do not have an ice machine at this time. (I do recall bringing you enough ice to cover your cooler) We do offer stayover cleaning upon request. We do not walk into guests rooms without their knowledge. I apologize (again) for your noisy neighbors. We hope to see you again.

The bathroom floor was sticky and after looking at the bathmat it was obviously very dirty, the lady in the office was very nice and most helpful. It,s about what you expect for the price

We stayed on the second floor at the end and had a wonderful view. In the morning we got up just in time for a perfect sunrise and saw geese and Mackinaw Island not far away. Only flaw: 5:30am industrial size trash dumpsters right behind our motel emptied by giant very loud crashing truck.

Kara, is a great manager, she seems to be everywhere, taking care of everyone and everything. The motel has a lot of personality, we loved the modern retro style of the rooms. We’ll be going back next year!

Only complaint is that there are zero USB ports in the room. Not a single one. I had to go to a truck stop and buy an AC/USB adapter. This is 2023!
