"Super convenient for the tourist heart of the city, right beside Bergenhus Fortress, but just far enough from the bars to feel nice and quiet. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely."

"Loved the hotel charm and the location. Heat was not working properly and we got locked into our room. No phone in the room so had to call from outside line. Good thing there wasn’t a fire. Also bar downstairs is loud and goes ‘til late at night"

"Wonderful quality hotel. Nice, spacious room. Excellent location and amenities. Pleasant staff. No bathmat in bathroom, which was odd given that shower is not enclosed and water spatters all over bathroom floor - actually not safe in my opinion. Hotel could not accommodate late checkout, which was disappointing. Otherwise a really great place to stay."

"Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel, with just one small complaint. The only downside was the 11:00 a.m. checkout. We arrived late the evening before, and unfortunately there wasn’t any flexibility for a later checkout. Personally, I think hotels should move toward a standard noon checkout whenever possible, especially for guests who arrive late. That would have made the experience even better. Everything else was excellent. Our room was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a classic, historic feel while still offering modern comforts. We also had a unique bonus window that made the room feel extra special and gave it a bit of a VIP atmosphere. The hotel itself is beautiful and couldn’t be in a better location. If you’re visiting Bergen and want to be within easy walking distance of the city’s most iconic sights and photo spots, this is the place to stay. We’d happily stay here again."
