Took ages to check in very slow had to pay 50euros deposit on room didn’t agree with that wanted a glass of wine from the bar we were told we had to buy a bottle as the bartender did not have any bottles open why should you have to buy a bottle check out was 10 in morning normally it’s 11am won’t be staying there again the sister hotel Topaz is much better

Hello Margaret, thank you for your review. Sorry to read your check took too long, we usually have a quick and efficient service. Our bar does serve wine by the glass, maybe there was a misunderstanding. Check out during Covid situation is at 10:00am due to the extra disinfection required.

Lovely hotel, would return and recommend!
Lovely hotel and in a good location, walk one way for the bus stops you need, walk another and it takes you to the sea, bars, restaurants etc... also a good shop a few doors down. Staff really polite and friendly, they even stood up when they seen you approaching. Asked for an extra pillow each for our beds and he got this straight away. Rooms cleaned every day. Balcony is okay, chair really comfy. Pool on the roof is fab! Room well equipped with kettle, hairdryer and fridge, air con etc. Only negatives are they didn't change our dirty cups and not sure what the bathroom window was about (it opened up to a big dark hole)! The shower was quite weak to. Would definitely return though, very comfy and adequate especially for the good price to. Its ashame the bar area was always so quiet, it was cheap and nice, felt sorry for them they didnt seem to get much custom. Maybe open it up by the pool, as was quite busy up there in the early evening.

Was given wrong room, toilet in new room didn't work properly, AC dripped rusty water on floor. Only good things were receptionist "BOYKO"- very friendly and had info for best restaurants and activities, pool deck was nice, beds were comfortable.

Amazing experience, friendly staff, got maps and advice about what to visit, clean pool, didn't have know we can use the pool in Topaz hotel we found out last minute, but very nice. Cleaning was excellent, air conditioning, clean towel... Amazing experience

Good
The hotel is much better than the pictures, my room was very spacious and comfortable. However, toilet is old and need renovation, and the air condition can be noisy. The hotel is in perfect spot, it’s only less than five minutes walking from bus stop, and less than ten minutes to bars, restaurants and Bugibba beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful in terms of explaining how to get around the local area and the island.

Super stay!
We had a fab stay at the Oriana. We came from Valletta, and managed to find the hotel fairly easily. First impressions, the hotel looked lovely and clean! Reception staff and house maids were all very friendly and courteous. Swimming pool was ideal, and although not a massive amount of sun beds, it was perfectly adequate for the amount of guests, there was never a point when there wasn’t enough for everyone. The pool doesn’t have a shallow end. The only tiny tiny down side - there was a cigar butt on our balcony, obviously been missed on the sweep up, but otherwise I cannot fault this hotel!

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room a good size but hot as cooling fan not hugely effective. Very clean. The surrounding area is built up and not pretty but hotel itself is nice and lovely pool area. Supermarket seconds from hotel which is very handy.

This hotel is excellent if you are a budge, its clean, its safe and its.association with the Topaz next door ensures that dinner and breakfast is.good.and close to hand. The staff are.friendly and are always willing to assist when needed in a friendly and cheerful manmer. Definately would stay again.........

Bathroom was very old and the shower hose broke. The restaurant was accessible via an underground tunnel which led to another hotel. The food was not at all appetising and the waiting staff were unfriendly. There were no other restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Shuttle from airport was only five euros per person which was good. On checkout, I think the housekeeper counted the towels before we were handed back our deposit of 50 euros which was very strange and embarrassing. Chose the hotel for the family room (which was a good size and well configured) and also for the price and so shouldn’t really complain I suppose, but you have asked for feedback.

Hello Anonymous, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read that your shower hose broke, I hope that you reported to reception so that a new one could be replaced. Re. Restaurants, we are exactly surrounded by many restaurants of all kinds some even two / three minutes walk from the hotel. If there is something St. Paul's Bay is not short of it is restaurants. The room guarantee is similar to a credit card guarantee.

I can recommend this property, having stayed here for three nights. Even though the hotel is slightly dated, The facilities are very good and the staff are excellent. The hotel is located in Saint Paul’s, which has plenty of amenities nearby.this area is about twenty minutes away from the centre Valletta and there is plenty of buses and taxis available at a reasonable price.All in all a pleasant place to have a vacation and I have no trouble recommending this hotel to others.

Very nice, very clean, staff very helpful, only downside was the hotel was full of young noisy students, but the hotel only allowed them by the pool from 17.00 till 19.00, this made the stay a more enjoyable.

Hi checking in to the order younger was easy passport showing but they did require a €50 deposits which not everyone has at the moment or a credit card for breakages and damages which you have to wait seven days to be refunded but everything was checked into room was clean and the staff couldn’t do enough to help you I was certainly recommend this hotel to anybody thank you

The service was amazing, the ac went out for a whole day but they fixed it by the next night and the staff was so friendly and helpful with everything that we didn't even mind that much. Plus it was walking distance to so much great stuff.

Comments ref the Stay.
The hotel had a roof pool which was good but inadequete for the number of guests! The staff were good but had limited powers in handling details i.e. wouldn't allow you to use their phone/computer to call for extra help/facilities. As i hired a car, beware of parking as this has become a major problem in ALL areas. Even if you park partly on very faded yellow lines, traffic wardens will book you despite Maltese Locals doing it & not getting fines! The car hire group will also charge you 55 euros even though you'd paid the fine to the Local Council!!? In short, because the Island's occupants don't pay ANY Council Tax, the tourists are made to suffer through what i call Corruption.Also watch you don't use the yellow PRIVATELY OWNED ATM's. They grossly overcharge you. Always go to the Bank Owned ATM's!! In short, i will never go back to what used to be such a lovely Island ever again!

Fairly basic but perfect for our needs
The hotel had a nice but medium sized swimming pool on the roof which was good to take a quick dip after a day of scuba diving. The room were good enough for our needs with a small balcony to sit on and air con. We stayed to do a scuba diving course and the company were within a 5 minute walk. The location was great, within 15 minutes walk of the bay and the main square. Shops and bars also nearby. Friendly staff.

Nice clean hotel.friendly staff. Had to pay €50 deposit for room which is quite unusual. Bar staff wanted to charge €3 to sit in lounge after buying drinks at the bar.very strange. Overall a very pleasant stay

Hotel was ok but a bit out of the way it was quiet if you don't mind walking a bit then ok busses near by to most places The staff very helpfull room was ok clean soft towels everyday bathrooms need updating but clean Wedid eat at the hotel just had a room, We used the Topaz next door swimming pools which where very nice especially the indoor one ,we used the under ground walkway from one hotel to the other very easy overall we enjoyed our stay

I am impressed by the cleanliness which is something i am always looking out for as i'm rather fussy. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. I was there for one night only but just like my stay at the Topaz Hotel a month ago, i would definitely recommend this hotel too. Tried and tested :-) Enjoy!!

Good room with amazing bed, bathroom was just ok. Small things such as bad WiFi, disfuctional tv & plug sockets not working were slightly annoying. Rooftop pool was great for sunbathing but pool is unheated. Hotel check in was very very slow - around 40 mins we waited for our key but we were never told it was going to take that long. Hotel location is good for getting to restaurants etc, slightly longer walk to the sea front but still very accessible.

Close to sea water
Centally located walking distance to Bugibba square..great views of St Pauls island...convenient stores local bars and restaurants a stone throw away. Sight seeing tours drop off and pick up right outside doorstep. The rotational staff at reception were always helpful. Shared facilities with Topaz is added bonus no need to leave building...connected by tunnel. Would suggest a bar facility on rooftop pool...perhaps there is during peak summer periods? Enjoyed our stay and thanks to reception staff.
