Beachfront Cottages GARDEN at Beautiful Sandy Shores on Gulf of America

Please be our guest! Sandy Shores has been in the Hall family for over 60 years, and is currently owned and operated by Myrtle Hall. Myrtle is German-born and moved to Indian Rocks Beach in 2000 when she married her late husband, Ned. Ned’s grandmother bought the Indian Rocks Beach property in 1946. Ned's father George Hall built the first, two-story building in 1952. The one-story Gulf Cottage followed in 1972. Ned's family lived here in the winter, and spent the summer in Ithaca, NY, where his father was the Golf Coach at Cornell University for over 40 years. Ned followed in his footsteps as a PGA Teaching Professional for over 25 years. He was teaching at the Clearwater Golf Club located in Clearwater, Florida when Myrtle, in Florida on holiday from Germany, met him in 1998. Myrtle and Ned, of course, had their wedding right in front of beautiful Sandy Shores!

Like Ned, Myrtle fell in love with this beautiful property and its rich family history. Ned and Myrtle started to rent out their cottages in 2005 after a complete beautification and enjoyed every minute of sharing this lovely property with their guests. Myrtle carries on the Hall family tradition of hospitality at Sandy Shores and adds her special brand of German warmth. Her attention to detail and cleanliness makes Sandy Shores a unique and charming retreat.

What a comfortable, relaxing beach cottage! Myrtle, the owner personally welcomed us to her beautiful property right on the beach. It was clean, well stocked and just as advertised. We look forward to staying there again!

Beautiful property! Gardens, multiple seating areas and access to beach were excellent as was the access to restaurants. Only drawbacks were the small bathroom and noisy air conditioning unit.

Beautiful location and neighborhood.

The property sits right on the beach with restauraunts and shops within walking distance. There is a flower garden with lots of seating and shade if the beach is too hot or you've gotten too much sun. The cottage was emaculate with a very nice kitchen area and very comfortable bed. There were lots of beach amenities to utilize and a very nice laundry facility to use if needed. Mrytle was a very welcoming host and was easily available had any problems occurred (which did not). My adult daughter and i went for a relaxing getaway and it was perfect!

Great location!

We had a wonderful stay! Myrtle was very accommodating and the space she has created is wonderful!! Walking distance to several restaurants and general goods. The beach is right there and the sunsets were the highlight of the trip!

Beautiful Sandy Shores

With great anticipation, we made our way to Indian Rocks Beach for the first time and fell in love with beautiful Sandy Shores. The garden cottage is homey and comfortable and well-supplied with everything imaginable. We enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of Myrtle's gardens with all the special outdoor seating areas. The convenient location of Sandy Shores makes it easy to walk to many good places to eat. The amazing proximity to the dazzling Gulf waters and beach was pure joy. We look forward to returning again and would highly recommend it to friends.

Beautiful place!

Myrtle’s place was perfect for our little family vacation. Such a beautiful place and a very central location, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Very Beach feel and decorations. Great access to Beach with private walkway. Lot of storage and nice kitchen appliances. Myrtle was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Sandy Shores

Our family enjoyed the stay at the garden cottage. The room was clean, welcoming, and well decorated. Myrtle met us and gave us a tour during our check-in. The property is located on the beach with walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The property has a wonderful and beautiful garden to relax. We highly recommend this place.

Paradise!

What a wonderful property! Perfect for staying at while celebrating my friend’s 50th birthday. Definitely an old Florida feel and atmosphere. Myrtle has thought of everything and keeps it all in tip top shape. Especially loved the lounge chairs that could be taken to the beach! Can’t wait to come back with my husband.

Perfect little getaway

We had a quick trip to Sandy Shores. The rental was exceptionally clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The property was gorgeous; Myrtle does a great job maintaining the grounds. You are literally beachfront, and the beach was never crowded. Myrtle provided everything you’d need to enjoy your days down by the ocean, too. We enjoyed the little town and there were plenty of options for dining. Can’t wait to come back!

Delightful

This was a delightful experience . We were in cottage one which does not have beach view, however, the gardens and sitting areas provide a sought after view of the water. Next time would love the cottage which enjoys a beach/ water view. There was ample shade around the property too which allowed respite from the heat of the day. We would definitely come again .

Beautiful Beachside Location

We had a lovely visit and enjoyed the cottage and beach so much! The cottage is cute and homey with all the comforts and necessities of home in the kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. The grounds are fantastic for sitting in the shade and sipping coffee while watching the birds and ocean. The beach and ocean is clean, not very crowded, and loaded with sealife and birds to watch! The host is fantastic, very friendly, helpful and responsive to questions. I will definitely return to this lovely place.

Beach Weekend

My wife and I were looking for a long weekend at the beach. We have always loved the Indian Rocks Beach area. Booked Mrs. Hall's Sandy Shores and we could not have picked a better spot. On the beach , out door sitting areas with perfect view for sunsets in the evening and a morning cup of coffee. You are right in the heart of Indian Rocks and can walk to all the great spots IRB has to offer. The place is maintained impeccably . Hope to make it back in the future.
